The idea would have been to have Blokhin cutting inside in a similar role to Stoichkov's in Barca's almost all-conquering front 3 in 93/94, with Rivaldo and Zidane providing the Laudrup bullets. With that we could commit to more of a high press, afforded by Baresi's high line, but it wasn't as clean off-the-ball as Cubillas had less of the graft. There was another variation to that to progress to in the reinforcements but will save that for another time.Zidane - Neeskens
