A great tell on the health of a league is the crop of young talent coming through to eventually usurp the older chaps on their way out. I’m not following other leagues much at all these days, certainly not to the degree of being up-to-date on best xi’s in the 23 and under category, I’m hoping the caf can compose a fair number of them, at least for: EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A. Would be great to have Brazil, Argentina and Holland represented too.

Who actually has the strongest xi?

The PL is very strong

gk - Lammens (Trafford)
rb - Livramento (Kayode)
lb - Calafiori (O'Reilly)
cb - Khusanov (Brainthwaite)
cb - Murillo (Colwill)
mc - Wharton (Baleba)
mc - Anderson (Mainoo)
am - Cherki (Rodgers)
lw - Doku (Savinho) - Theres a lack of good u23 lw's.
rw - Amad (Estevao)
st - Ekitike (Sesko)

Strong team. Lot's of them are interchangeable. Also left out Lewis Hall which feels weird.

Outside the PL I only really watch Ligue 1 enough to have a half-decent go.

GK: Penders (Strasbourg)
RB: Zaire-Emery (PSG) - cheating a bit
CB: Jacquet (Rennes)
CB: Tati (Nantes)
LB: Methalie (Toulouse)
CM: J.Neves (PSG)
CM: Barco (Strasbourg)
CM: Bouaddi (Lille)
LW: Afonso Moreira (Lyon)
RW: D.Doue (PSG)
ST: Panichelli (Strasbourg)

LW is stacked. You could (definitely should) have Barcola, but I just really like Moreira. Belgian duo Fernandez-Pardo and permacrock Malick Fofana unlucky to miss out too.

Edit - wow didn't realise Nuno Mendes is still only 23

Good team. I'll attempt to make a team with none of the players in your team just to show depth.

GK - Verbruggen
RB - Gusto
LB - Hall
CB - Yoro
CB - Mosquera
MC - Fernandes
MC - Scott
AM - Kroupi
LW - Garnacho
RW - Rayan
ST - Barry

Bundesliga XI isn't that bad, come to think of it:

GK: Urbrig (Bayern)
RB: Culbreth (Leverkusen)
CB: Jeltsch (Stuttgart)
CB: Vuskovic (Hamburg)
LB: Brown (Frankfurt)
CM: Pavlovic (Bayern)
CM: Andres (Stuttgart)
AM: Maza (Leverkusen)
RW: Karl (Bayern)
LW: Musiala (Bayern)
ST: Asllani (Hoffenheim)

At RB you could also go for Couto at Dortmund but he doesn't start regularly anymore.

Most of those guys will either stay at their big club, like Bayern, or make moves to bigger clubs soon in their career.

Vuskovic is a Spurs player, no?

Yea he's on loan at Hamburg but technically a Bundesliga player this season. If you want to go by players that will stay in the BL next season then a quite a few others from the team might not be there as well

Quansah can can come in as the second defender in case we're removing loan players

Serie a off the top of my head

Suzuki (GK)
Palestra (RB/RWB)
Scalvini (CB)
Ramon (CB)
Bartesaghi (LB)
Sucic (CM)
Pisilli (CM)
Baturini (AM/LM)
Paz (AM)
Yildiz (LM/AM)
Esposito (CF)
