We should have got him when he was young. He's old already and I doubt we will get more than 3 years from him especially at that price. I'd rather Perisic.
Perisic is older than him ffs

And nowhere near as good. What are you smoking?

Left on the bench today and didn't even get subbed on. Is he injured? If not it looks increasingly like the rumours he wants to leave are true.

I would celebrate Hazard leaving, Chelsea will be a different side without him, and buying a replacement of the same quality is damn near impossible in todays market.

This shouldn't be in a transfer forum as we've absolutely have not a hope in hell of getting him.

He's off to Madrid or PSG.

Perhaps just Conte managing his minutes? He started two games in a row earlier this week, and today's game was decided after 25 minutes.

What? How have you worked this one out?

He was rested for Arsenal. And why would you sub him on when it was 3-0 after 20 minutes? What’s the point?

This is how rumours start. Out of nothing. Fabregas didn't get a minute today too. Is he leaving too?

It's called rotation.

Was only a question. Don't get your knickers in a twist.

He may still leave though.
He may. I think he will sign a new deal before the summer, probably just wants a better offer and to be convinced the club are going to show ambition in January/summer window.

His father came right out and said he's waiting for us before signing anything with you...

his father was chatting rubbish though it looks like. Rejected a contract offer his dad said, an offer which wasnt even made.

To be fair too, something like that would be all over belgian media, 1 outlet claimed it

How is that not a dive? Belerin touch him on the sole, so by right the studs would hurt bellerin more. Hazard went down like his leg was amputated. That deserve a ban imo for successfully deceiving the ref

Football lives in a physical bubble where the simplest of contact is accepted as reason for dramatic falls and exaggerated dives.
Look at GAA and the hits they take, how come their bodies are able to withstand dreaded taps on the soles of feet or tugs on arms etc that cause such devastation to footballers?
This idea of simple contact being enough really is ridiculous

Sounds like his agent is already working on moving him to RM... but for the right money.

I don't believe City could land him. Why Hazard would want to join City? That's not an upgrade but a sideways move.

As if Chelsea would sell their best player to a direct rival, they'll sell players they don't think they need a la Matic but there's no way on this earth any team would sell their best player about to hit their prime to City.

Thankfully Chelsea aren't Arsenal. Even in their austerity state there's zero chance Abramovich sanctions this. Probably just makes it more likely that he goes to Madrid.

It is the stuff of nightmares though.

Hazard better value than Sanchez?

Sanchez scores more goals, assists more goals, and would cost around £150m less.

How is that better value? :houllier:

Not happening. Guardiola literally just said this:

"There are salaries we cannot pay. There are parts of the transfer we cannot pay," said Guardiola.

"Maybe in the future it is going to happen, but we have not paid more than £100m for a player, or £90 or £80m. We cannot pay that right now. They told me. And the salaries and some things. We cannot pay. That is the truth."

Sanchez was incredible value for money in this market without doubt. On your point about goals and assists, Sanchez has the better output, but Hazard's dribbling ability is another level. Hazard's pace along with his close control is among the best in the world. Great player and naturally will cost an incredible sum in this market.

That's not really accurate. Chelsea are in disarray, manager's future in question and their recruiting has been poor. City are currently a better team than Real and the latter club faces a very difficult transfer summer in trying to offload declining stars on huge wages.

To me the biggest question with City is how long Pep will stay.

They literally sold us their player of the season (Mata) for the last two years running. If the players don’t want to stay Abramovich will let them go, usually to where they please.

When they deemed him surplus (which Hazard never will be), he was nothing more than a bench player that season.
