Never liked him anyway, needs to bulk up, can't do it on a wet Tuesday night.

Right who's next? Saul? Neves? Ugh.

I don't think Camavinga is there, yet. A good prospect, but a little hyped.

Good on Madrid, but no big loss for United in terms of making this season count.

Ahh such shame if this happens madrid aren't really a youngster friendly environment to go to(unless you're a mentality monster like our own varane)

Might be squandering his career just for the shine and glitter of real . Kinda disappointed to be honest

Think it was a season or two early for Madrid — and honestly even for us. Would’ve been better off just continuing to steadily progress at Rennes. If he stayed for another two seasons he’d still only be 20. That’s literally baby age for central midfield

Once the Mbappe deal fell thru, they had to make some sort of move to help out that squad as that midfield is old.

He will be a mainstay for years with Valverde. Replacing Kroos/Modric in the future.
Like Ceballos? Odegaard? Isco? All mainstays. This is Real Madrid we are talking about. Since the days of Cambiasso and Makelele being sold just for them to go and buy Gravesen few years later. It won't be as straightforward for Camavinga as you suggest.

These players all had to fight against prime Kroos, prime Modric and Casemiro.

Camavinga will take over from Kroos or Modric, as both are near the end of their careers at Real. Modric is 36 in a week, and Kroos isnt someone that will keep another 5 years on this level if at all. He will move in 2 years time i imagine.

So he is off to Madrid and not so long ago the odds of that happening were 12/1 and those who had a wager on that are quids in now

Not a good move for him at his age. Royston Drenthe and Martin Odegaard should be examples of why going to madrid as a teenager isnt a good idea.

Not exactly a surprise, but he's shit anyway!

I really wanted him too, this lad is really good. Unfortunately he prefers Madrid. Well no one can have all the good things, we already have Rashford and Greenwood.

Hope he won't become another Odegaard there. What a waste if so.

Madrid’s clout when it comes to Ligue 1 is astronomical. They’re still eating nicely off of that Zidane stimulus package

It's very strange for me to see the hype behind Camavinga on this forum. Yes he has potential but he's YEARS away from claiming a starter spot in a top team. He's an interesting prospect for sure but he has been struggling on the pitch for almost a year now. He's far from being there yet.

If you want a DM go for Tchouameni.

Didnt think he would move this summer. If PSG accepted that bid for Mbappe, he would be staying for now, at least not going to Real.

They were heavily linked with him last year, not so mich this summer. He always wanted them, but it seemed like they waited and pounced quickly once Mbappe wasn't coming to tie him up now.

Stick a fork in this one.

No time for any player who would go to a decrepit Real Madrid or PSG in their dead league over any top 4 Prem side.

Got his dream move after all
We will see now if it does not turn into a nightmare, they will have to manage his minutes very well.
Sometimes I think that it is not worth spending money on such young midfielders, it is better to spend 80 on someone 25 years old.
It is as if Redondo had arrived in Madrid with 20 and we discarded him after a while, instead of 25 already fully prepared.

Fair play to Madrid, just when it looked like they might struggle to find long term successors to Kroos and Modric they end up finding one in house, Valverde, and now they signed one of the most promising midfield prospects around in Camavinga.

That's a seamless transition if they manage to live up to their potential

He's this summer's Moises Caicdeo. A player who plenty of people on the Caf had never seen play but were absolutely sure would get us across the line and win the PL.

Real Madrid have 13 CL’s and a long history of having some of the best players ever. Players these guys grew up idolising

PSG is a strong CL candidate, in his home country and with a star studded squad

It’s easily explainable why a player would choose either before choosing a top4 prem side

Yeah if either side actually wanted you it would.

Not if you're an afterthought on the last day of the window.

Yeah. He may not but it’s a very solid attempt. Hopefully real don’t do a real and end up Mbappe Haaland and Camavinga by this time next year. It wouldn’t surprise me even coming out of all this they pull together the next great team without breaking a sweat

He's 18 years old and apparently joining Real Madrid, I doubt that enters anywhere near his thinking

Just surprised he actually decided to leave France when it was being said he'd prefer staying which is why P$G were the forerunners for him all window long

It’s been obvious since the beginning that he didn’t want to come here, don’t know why so many still tried to will it in to happening.

Yeah certainly did feel that way hopefully Tchouameni has a great half season and could maybe pick him up in January
