El Hadji Malick Diouf

He's had a mixed game (could've had an assist tbf with a brilliant cross), but wouldn't read too much into it. He's 21 and he's going to make mistakes. Can see why we're interested though, physically he's fantastic.

Is Balde a regular for Barcelona? He's rapid and a good dribbler. Id like someone like him at LB.

Obviously Lewis Hall would be great, and apparently he's a boyhood Utd fan.

It would be good for Utd to find a long term successor to Luke Shaw and get rid of him next summer.
Balde is best

Lewis Hall has clearly fallen out with Eddie Howe.

He’s miles better than Diouf.

I'd be incredibly disappointed if we got him but he would be the cheapest option so wouldn't be surprised.

Would have to be for dirt cheap when they go down, too much work needed. Reminds me a bit of how Robertson was at Hull, so maybe there is hope.

Really?

Can see him developing into a really dangerous attacking fullback, but his defending and defensive awareness are light years from what Robertson's were. He was always an annoying terrier and relentless, Diouf doesn't seem to have that trait.

He’s just too defensively suspect for me to consider in that LB position. I remember him getting slated by fans after their 1-5 defeat to Chelsea as well.

Outside of his actual quality as a player (I.E. not good enough), he doesn’t make sense from a profile perspective. Having two raw 21 year old LBs is pointless.

Robertson couldn't really defend at Hull either, maybe that was more out of being rash and terrier like - I can't truly remember too much. I know Liverpool didn't think much of his defending when they signed him either, was in the Ian Graham book. Klopp didn't care if he could defend or not, he just needed him to attack and his midfield can cover.

We’d be looking to sell him in two years. He’s got something going forward but the rest of his game isn’t up to scratch

I said it in the transfer anti-wishlist thread but he strikes me as having a ceiling that would make him a good asset for a mid-table Premier League club. That's no slight on him at all but he's not someone I think we should be going for this summer.
