Baleba? M Fernandes, Scott and Baleba would be a good CM mixture. Different skillset and I think they could play alongside each other and Mainoo.

Unfortunately those three would probably cost £200mil as a trio

if i got scott and fernandes....both very good but massive runners in terms of ground coverage

i'd go for a guy like Yildiz who's a scoring threat from CM and offers an alternative to Bruno who's getting up in the years

You can push Anderson as much as you want but to put down Bellingham's performances is laughable. Does Real chase after Anderson at any point in his career? I'd put money down, they would not. Rice, Bellingham; those are midfielders that would grace any top club in Europe. I don't think Anderson is the same.

I’m not saying Bellingham wasn’t very good pre Real, I’m saying his achievements and performances weren’t any more credible than Anderson’s…. Maybe there’s an argument for character in that he has the confidence to move to Germany but so did Sancho.. You could argue he looked like a big game player for England but equally Anderson’s stats have been insane this season and he’s taking Forest through Europe, very Rice-esque in that regard

I recall more than half the caf saying Rice wouldn’t be worth 100+ and now I’m hearing it again.. I’m not pushing Anderson I’m just pattern matching

If anything, my preference, if at all possible, would be to pickup Tchou and Baleba (bkup) to build around Kobbie.

Agreed. Rice was head and shoulders better than anyone at West Ham and easily one of the best DMs in Europe. Anderson is a good player in a overall good team at Forest. I would argue Gibbs-White is more instrumental to them than Anderson.

Ok fair enough. I can get the comparison to the Rice situation but not quite the same. Anderson is a key cog in a good Forest team but I would say Morgan Gibbs-White is more instrumental for them. Rice drove West Ham to that conference title.

I think we are aligned when it comes to preferences on who to build around Kobbie. When you factor in price, you can potentially get Tchou and Baleba for 10-20m more than what Forest are asking for Anderson; that also changes things. If Anderson were a 70-80m, I think the conversation would be different.

Yeah really hope we are interested in Gibbs-White as a potential Bruno replacement when time comes. My only concern with that partnership is does it lack the progressive passing ability we need
 
I disagree, Anderson is the only player we've been linked to that can bring elite passing to the team. Without that we will be stuck exactly where we are.
 
if you can get Ederson for €50 million that is well worth the deal and probably cheaper than what it would cost you to purchase either guy from an english club

If he turns out to be as influencal as Rice for Arsenal - great. Anything below - fail. Sorry but with price tags like that we can and have to expect high and immidiate impact.

If both were available for 100m right now I'd want Anderson.

all these guys can pass the ball given the level in which they play.....percentages can be very misleading dependent upon the risk of the passes versus just being a connector

Getting paid twice as much as anywhere else, getting paid their official wages and then more from "unrelated" sponsors. Look at Haaland on almost 900k a week.

none of them can pass to the level we need, not even close and it is also a weakness of Kobbie. So they need to be extremely good.

Would pick different players but certsinly share sentiment. Andersons had one good season, obviously ticks lots of boxes and is a good player...but is he being a tad overhyped? Bellingham and Rice for example were overpriced but could understand fees...both real quality players...i rate anderson but not in bracket like them...way overpriced. Personally think theres other players though without such a wide skillset...are better partners for mainoo and better than anderson in important aspects we need.....if we sign a couple of the right ones...i actually would be happy losing out on him.

I dont see him as similar but would worry about tgat pairing defensively on the break especially. Also torally disagree wirh post youre answering. Anderson is good as offers good passing...but strength, energy, stamina, positioning, legs...weve missed that for years and its often been such a problem with us getting overan....also we have an elite passer already in our youth side for cm, so we are already likely to have that as a possible option...also anderson, tonali, guimares, enzo fernandez id put amongst tge best passers for oremiership clubs...every club of ehich has struggled.

He may go on to be...but newcastle let him go, his progress been steady but only excelkent this season.....rice had several seasons imoroving every year at west ham and captained them. Anderson i actually see leadership qualities in and his passing is good...does tgat justify the fee though as though good all round hes still potentially superb, rice alreasy was

I don’t buy into this ‘we can get 2 midfielders instead of 1 if we go for other players’ shite. If we want to move on and compete for the league again we need the BEST players. Period. Anderson is the best in the prem at what he does imo.
