He's the one to get and I wouldn't mind spending the fee required. There's little point when he wants to go to City (and they're willing to pay the fee) though
I’d argue Tonali would be the main target. Ederson, Fernandes, (Scott)/ TonaliWe are just back in the CL, we don't have the funds. Fernandes is now our main target.
They should add on another 15 million to make it 130 million, just for good measure.Maybe Forest want £115 million for him.

You joke but I’ve seen that figure floated around online as to what they want for himThey should add on another 15 million to make it 130 million, just for good measure.
This, get it done and then we can focus on selling Ugarte and try and find the perfect 3rd signing.Let's just wrap up the Fernandes deal while City are busy overpaying for Anderson.
I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with the superior player, if both reach their full potential.
I mean as good as Anderson is if hes going for 120 give or take you can get Alex Scott and Matteus Fernandez for the same price. Look Anderson is clear the best but is he worth both of them I don't so. You might need to go 130 for both but I'd still consider it a better deal. I think those 3 you mentioned is a very good summer.I’d ideally like him of course but Ederson, Fernandes and Scott would be a good summer
Too expensive and I even doubt we can afford Fernandes and Scott at ca 140m.I’d argue Tonali would be the main target. Ederson, Fernandes, (Scott)/ Tonali
Agreed Anderson is currently the best but Fernandes is more than capable of being better than him in next couple of years and Scott isnt far behind in talent either , in the longer run getting both of them as you said should Prove to be better deal for Us .I mean as good as Anderson is if hes going for 120 give or take you can get Alex Scott and Matteus Fernandez for the same price. Look Anderson is clear the best but is he worth both of them I don't so. You might need to go 130 for both but I'd still consider it a better deal. You may console yourself with this reasoning, but there’s no lose for the players; ride the cash cow until it collapses and then invoke whatever clause it is to jump ship, if it comes to it.I'm extremely bitter but if Anderson is still set on going to City with no Pep there then he's an idiot. Will be hilarious to see the fallout if they get relegated.
We're a club who hasn't won the league for 13 years, champions league for 18 years. Since we last won the league, Leicester have won it, arsenal have won it, Chelsea and pool both won it twice, city won it 6 times. Theres pl players such as Anderson who probably have no memory of us ever winning a big trophy
I agree. If he wants to joint United then I’d go all in even if that means we don’t get a third midfielder. The guy is elite and will massively elevate our midfield and our team. He's the one to get and I wouldn't mind spending the fee required. There's little point when he wants to go to City (and they're willing to pay the fee) though
Yep, it’s absolutely disgusting. Rules don’t apply to City.Fecking outrageous that they can just go and sign another top player for massive money when presumably they're about to be found guilty of financial misconduct charges.
The rules have changed again?Let’s stick to proper journos and reduce the aggregators in these threads
I'm not sure I'd be okay with just Ederson and Anderson joining if it means that we go into the season with just 3 midfielders plus youth backup, not to mention Mateus Fernandes and Scott have also gone elsewhere (possibly Arsenal and Liverpool respectively).I agree. If he wants to joint United then I’d go all in even if that means we don’t get a third midfielder. The guy is elite and will massively elevate our midfield and our team.
United can’t miss out on yet another midfielder.
Missed out on Rice & Bellingham the last few years before their moves to their current clubs. Can’t miss out on yet another one.
Why players want to go to that shit club is beyond me. Ok money. But how much money do you need???
The rules have changed again?
How original to come out with a line from 2009, fecking annoying he only wants City when you look at his ball winning and passing metrics compared to others. No value in the market
Yeah that's a very good pointProblem is that if we bid 100+ for Anderson and dont get him, it tells West Ham they should hold out for more if we go in for Fernandes.
Well if scousers won those leagues he would want them instead, quite honestly I made peace with him going to City back in December so been mentally prepared since thenAre people finally realising that City's success does mean something?
A lot of United fans want them to continue winning league after league because "it doesn't mean anything" and are then shocked that top talents like Anderson prefer them over us.
Even before Pep, they were winning leagues and reaching the semi finals of Europe, and they'll still be doing it after him unless they finally get punished.

If it takes over 105m i'm not sure he's worth it to be honest. He's probably the best available option this summer but it kind of seems that most of his competition will cost about 80m or less. Its a very big premium to pay for a marginal improvement over Fernandes or Scott. If he was really enthusiastic about joining and pushing for the move above all others id be more enthusiastic in turn. As it is I'm kind of ok with missing out on him.
He and the other 2 aren't really the kind of midfielder we need to be honest. Its the guy you'd put next to them or mainoo that'll make or break our midfield.
