Endrick is on loan in Ligue 1 and my god what a player!







Already 1 goal and 1 assist!
 
I got some Adriano vides from him last season in Madrid. I wanted to see more from him but I understand that it would be hard with Mbappe there.

On a different forum I’ve been making the argument since his Madrid arrival that regardless of the amount of gametime he has he’s a special potentially world class talent that cannot be written off because at 18/9 he can’t start ahead of Mbappe.

He’s a special one.

I meant when he was up for loan from Madrid. I know Madrid wanted a minutes clause, but I honestly feel he'd get plenty of time for us and that he'd be a great option, even at his current age.

We have 3 70m attackers rotating for the no.9 spot as it is, without taking into account Zirkzee. Theres also Chido Obi from reserves.

If they had signalled a willingness to sell him like they did Odegard, then yes we should be in for him. Theres no point sacrificing our own players game time and development otherwise.
 


Ligue 1 debut. Most chances created and most dribbles too.

He’s a bit rusty and heavy in some touches when he’s at full flow but you can see a great player in there and only 19?!

We already have headaches over how to fit Mbeumo and Amad in the same lineup, wouldn't make sense to add another attacker that primarily attacks from the right.

Nice, very impressive, especially for a first game in a new league.
 
He made a great call to choose Lyon for a loan as the fit, need and playing level was the absolute perfect match. Exciting to follow along.

He would have been perfect during AFCON, which hardly came as a surprise to us yet we were woefully unprepared for. I'd also have him over Obi and Zirkzee, no question. Neither of them are, or will be, good enough and Endrick would contribute more than both right off the bat IMO. Regardless, it hardly matters now.

Endrick wanted guarantee playing time in order to be part of the WC squad. At United, the places are limited and there are a lot less games to show yourself even if Ligue 1 has 34 games total, Lyon still play in the domestic cup.
Endrick would have gained nothing from leaving Real Madrid to United
 
He needs to play, hopefully he goes on loan next season as well instead of warming the bench. Talents like this should be playing most of the time, he looks exciting

With all due respect to Endrick, I far prefer Mbeumo, and probably Amad as well

I think Endrick has unquestionably a higher ceiling than Mbeumo and Amad. His ball striking at 19 is ridiculous, his intent is too.

But it makes little sense currently to try and sign him. Maybe summer 2027/8 season as an Mbeumo replacement?

Think back to 19 year old Amad it wasn’t a great sight. This is different.
 


This is probably the best comp so far. Passing range is really good.

Personally, I couldnt care about "ceilings". Have seen too many youngsters with high ceilings wash out after a season or two or never amount to anything but an odd good match here and there. Not comparing the two, but Garnacho had a high ceiling as well

Mbeumo does the job at the top level and does it game-in-game-out at the quality I can only admire. I love having him at United. LOVE :)

We know he’s talented and has all the tools.

Oh 100% but it was a joyful performance to watch. Very fresh very direct and a hint of Brazilian flair and it just made me smile. This was a player being given freedom of a team he’s on loan too and embracing it.

It may only be one game but it’s a performance I’ll remember watching and enjoying greatly.
