Fergie actively wanted to boot Beckham and Van Nistelrooy out of the club, quite literally in the former's case.

That’s not entirely a fair comparison. The financial disparity in Spain means it’s virtually impossible for them to finish outside of the top 3. I’m sure we’d have won far more, and been in the CL every season, if we’d been in La Liga. They were absolute shite last season and still finished second.

It's not inferiority. It's reality. Something some Utd fans don't accept. We are a shadow of the club we were 20 years ago.

We should have a state of the art stadium, training ground, medical facilities and a team that's competing for the title regularly. We are far from there. It's what ownership under the glazers has done to us.

We were never a feeder club to Madrid though. Of the names you mentioned, Ronaldo is the only one Fergie would've rather kept, and we still got to a CL final the season after iirc.

Things are obviously different now, to the extent that Madrid don't even want our best players anymore. We'd much rather take their has beens. But 15 years ago, we were very much Madrid's equal and still arguably the biggest team in the world

Ronaldo is the only player we ever sold them that we wanted to keep. De Gea almost became the second, but obviously that never went through.

Otherwise they were effectively taking our (with all due respect to them) cast-offs, players that we no longer wanted. Ruud, Beckham, Heinze, Chicharito (on loan). They were the equivalent of us signing Di Maria from them, players that had been good but the club now wanted to sell. Hell, they even took our assistant manager as their main man. So it's hard to take you seriously if you think we were a feeder club during those years when most of the transfers were happening.

In fact Casemiro and Varane were more 'hostile' sales than any of those (other than Ronaldo of course), seeing as Real wanted to keep both of them. We just offered enough to make it worthwhile to sell, but does that make them our feeder club?
 
Wouldn't want him on loan unless it had an option to buy.
 
Thus signing just makes so much sense for us. A loan in a position we need depth that looks genuine quality.
 
I wouldn't be against it but I don't see it happening. I think we'll be in the market for a more experienced player to dovetail with Sesko if we end up pursuing a forward. I'd also expect Endrick and Real Madrid would be looking for a club who can provide him secure minutes every week, which we can't really do.
 
Not sure about Endrick. He seems to be either spectacular or pretty poor. But I need to see more of him, we all do. It's strange, because a part of me could see him doing some damage for us.. what about a loan, with an option to buy?

Ideally, I think he needs a Bournemouth, Fulham.. teams that create chances and where he will play, all the time.

Haven't seen much of him but anytime I have he seems really dangerous, seems to make things happen.

This is the reason why Madrid can't be the best club in the world.
Their whole league structure is set up for them to succeed regardless of if they play well or shit.

It will probably be villa as they are in the CL. Even though bournemouth or Fulham would make sense from a development and number of minutes time. I can't see a player of his profile turning down opportunities to play in CL.
 
He can't be going to Villa to battle it out with Watkins and not be considering battling it out with sesko here? Villa have also recently signed a tank of a young player too called Brian Madjo who is only 17 but he looks like he could go far and has been scoring for fun in preseason. Probably a season too early for him but he looks like he's already physically ready
 
So Mourinho wants Endrick to stay according to the Spanish press and counts on him.

No idea how reliable they are, but RMC Sport have reported that we enquired about Endrick before the decision for him to remain at Real this coming season.
 
Never trust Mourinho.

He’ll keep him as a pawn all season with no care whatsoever for his development. He’s only there in case of injury to Mbappe, as far as Mourinho’s concerned.
 
Best for him is to go on loan or loan with option. He's probably there in the wrong time. He still pretty young that he has to play regularly for his own development. RM right now has too many players that are better than him that play where he plays. For us, if he is only here with loan, just don't bother with it.

Yeah like what was the point the guy was trying to make. Beckham famously talks about how heartbreaking it was and he only left because we wanted him gone. The only one I can think of that left United on his own accord was Ronaldo. While we're nowhere near as attractive recently, that wasn't true when we had Fergie at the helm.

They can still be the best club in the world and have been at times though. When they were winning those CLs under Zidane they must have been at least close regardless of La Liga.
Best team in world just means they're playing better than anyone else and winning trophies.

I meant to say ownership over league structure, but also the majority of the TV money goes to them.
How many other clubs have been state-backed for as long as they have?
They're called Royal Madrid and have a crown on their logo.

Booting is not his point! They were world class players and United had them. He is merely stating that getting a young Endrick from them will be good for the club in it’s current state.

Although, I do think that the squad we have now is the strongest we’ve had since the Pogba, Zlatan, Matic one - which unfortunately had it’s weaknesses on central defence. This one is weak on the bench.

I highly doubt he will go to any club without guaranteed starter role. I am not sure how long it will take for him to realize there is no room for him in Real Madrid, just like Odegaard back then.
