You don’t think he is being contacted by journalists on how it feels to be left out?

Also, how he reacted to being left out at United (and losing the captaincy) should tell you all you need to know about how he would act as the backup guy.
He's still the only one who has released a statement and his omission was the first to break.

He reacted well at United, no doubt but the dynamics of being a back up at an international tournament is different. I'm saying this under the assumption that Burn will get little to no minutes and is purely there for his "character" which quite frankly I have no insight on.

I have the same feeling regarding him, might end costly if some injuries happen all of a sudden and that Tuchel have chosen some players recently out of injuries.
Harry surely didn't help his case posting before the official list, I thought that he reacted to an official announcement

Hopefully not as if Burn ends up playing, England are in big trouble.

Saw this tweet as well re. Maguire

Also saw his mum and brothers have been publicly slating the decision too on their social media pages (I wouldn't use that as a stick to beat him with though).

No, but he certainly wanted to play his cards before hand to make an statement and it does not look that well, no matter he at least could have go instead of Burn, him and his family being that vocal only helps Tuchel.

And like I've said before, way bigger players were left from WCs around the globe, the odd thing here it's that in that role, England has been dealing with many unfit players recently, but it's a case to blow everything out of proportions or even create more waves by Harry talking before the official list it's out there as a power statement.

Like clockwork it's the usual "the squad is shit and the manager hasn't a clue" phase of the England World Cup cycle, because a player hasn't been included.

It'll be coming home next week, before it's not, then it will be again, until it's not, then it will be coming home, until they lose on penalties.
Yeah this does happen every time pre tournament

Shame for Maguire on top of everything else because you could tell he cared about England duty, but about the World Cup too. One clip I remember from the during the last tournament was ITV or BBC doing a World Cup trivia for a bunch of the players, and Maguire doing the best at it. Mind you it wasn't hard, the questions were easy, but he was one of the few who knew things like Brazil being the nation that have won it the most times :o

Funnily enough I looked up Toney on wiki just yesterday to make sure he wasn't simply a figment of my imagination. Maybe he's a tulpa I just willed back into existence.

Macguire is a weird exclusion given his firm and Luke Shaw must have been close. Good for United I guess.

If we're trying to defend a lead, we have no one better to defend our box when sitting deep. Every aerial ball is cleared.

If we need a goal in the last minutes, he's a great option to lump it up to. Not to mention set pieces.

If we end up going to penalties, he's our best penalty taker.

You couldn't ask for a better squad option. No idea what Tuchel is thinking.
Yeah it's a bit like when Hoddle left out Gazza in 98 in terms of shock factor. Cannot understand how he has also left out Hall, Wharton and Gibbs-White too

What more could Gibbs-White have done in last couple of months, thought the days of favouritism was over, how wrong was I on that. How we got anything to come off the bench in this tournament because doesn't look like it.

If you guys actually watch England under Tuchel and how they play, Maguire simply couldn't go cos he doesnt fit the playing style. Harry is one of the reasons we at United play deep too because he cant handle the big spaces in behind.

Shaw is just “meh” player these days far from his Shawberto days from Euro 2020/2021. He barely attacks or does anything positive going forward.

If he had an ego he'd have left United. He got humbled a lot by everyone but showed great character

He also seemed well liked and respected. Nonsense excuse, it feels like something said after the reaction to justify

Which favouritism?

In that attacking mid position that Gibbs White plays there will be, Eze, Bellingham and Morgan Rogers. Theres no need for him really.

Depends how you view it, one could say his ego didnt allow him to join a lesser team (eg West Ham) than United and actually play day in day out.

Hope England will crash and burn and Tuchel gets fired over his stupid selection of players.
That could well happen with the names left out and suddenly the contract extension to 2028 will be no more

Maguire has 66 caps and has played at multiple major tournaments, and I think he can consider himself extremely fortunate to have had the England career he has had ability wise.

A generation ago he might not have even been capped. Hopefully he is more gracious once the disappointment dies down.

Maguire's mum is outraged. Good for her!

I'd love to see England lift the trophy, but Tuchel will cock it up.

Honestly this is nonsense. He’s a good player that would have featured in many teams.

England teams?? He really wouldn’t. He isn’t in the same class as Ferdinand, Terry, Campbell etc…

He has been very fortunate to play a prominent role in so many tournaments. A good player without ever really being great.

Too much bias around him here. Him being left out of an England squad at 33 is not a big deal.

12 years ago England took the likes of Glen Johnson, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill to the World Cup. You're having a laugh if you think he wouldn't have gotten in during numerious periods for Engkand

I think that the main thing it's not being in the squad, given England has been plagued with injuries with their CBs. At the same time I agree that acting like a huge travesty just seems too much, like I've said before, I witness way more odd omissions around the globe

Oh he certainly has an Ego, who doesn't? Kante maybe...

Terry and Ferdinand are better sure, but England have regularly included some absolutely terrible thugs at CB over the years. Maguire is better than the vast majority of those players so at the very least would have been included in our squads.

The big deal is that he’s coming off a very strong individual season, brings qualities nobody else in the squad has whilst also having a proven track record for England. Add in his strength of character and he’s an absolute no brainer to be included. Personally I think he’s still head and shoulders Englands best CB, so not only would he be in my squad, he’d also be in my 11. For all the talking of up John Stones, Maguire has always outperformed him when playing alongside him.

Look I hope Tuchel has got it right but based on his squad, I’m not convinced. He’s got everything to prove as England manager for me. (Hell, he was overrated as a club manager as well!).

 Everyone thought Southgate had his favorites. Tuchel is taking that to another level.

So Tuchel is opting for Lewi Colwil (only just back from ACL?) or Dan Burn (i mean ..) or John Stones (has he even played this season?) over Maguire and Luke Shaw? And also hearing Ivan Toney and Henderson?? I mean I'm glad Maguire and Shaw will be fresh for our next season, but Tuchel

Why are people bang on that Saka will be guaranteed to start on that right wing? Having watch Arsenal, he has been dogshit all season. So if Cole Palmer can be left out, why not him?

Jordan Henderson and John stones?
Both are way past their peaks now.
Leaving out Garner and Gibbs-White is strange after the form they've been in.
