Roy just reached his century off 44 balls in the PSL. Any chance he could get back to Bangladesh before tomorrow's T20? :)

Finishes 145* off 63 as they chased 241 with 10 balls to spare. Incredible innings

Not great captaincy from Buttler, should have bowled Rashid and Moeen's overs as early as possible.

Team also needed an extra batter but with only Rehan and Topley in the squad there's not a lot they can do.

I know there are bigger events to come and players to come back into the fold for England, but this look a very limited T20 setup for England here.

Can't really say that any of the fringe players have taken their opportunity, even in the ODI series despite winning that.

There's no real reason why they couldn't replace Abell and Jacks once they got injured. Pope said on commentary in the last match he would have played, I'm sure Root would have welcomed the chance to get back into this side. To just accept you're 1 or 2 batsmen short is disrespectful to both Bangladesh and the supporters.

Think it's also time to give a few younger seamers a go as well, Woakes has never been a great T20 player and Jordan is probably past his best.

He was cleared, in the context that the panel found, on the balance of probabilities, that there was insufficient evidence he said the words suggested. There was no higher level for them to “clear” him.

Interesting decision really. They seem to have taken Rudolph’s evidence that he heard nothing quite heavily into account. However, given the very specific nature of the allegation, the only contrary conclusion is that Rafiq (and Rashid) weren’t being accurate with their recollection.

Good draw for Lancs today. Got themselves into a bad position but emerged with relative ease.

Hopefully get Anderson and Mahmood back now. The attack will look totally different with those two in it.

So McCullum does some adverts for a bookie, said bookie causes a stir advertising in NZ when it's not licensed there, the ECB have pointed out to McCullum he's not really meant to be doing gambling adverts anyway.

I'm not sure this is going anywhere.

If he has broken the anti-corruption code then the minimum punishment is a one-year ban.

Expect he'll just be warned and have to give up his deal with the company though

Katherine Sciver-Brunt has retired from international cricket. One of my favourite cricketers. Used anger/aggression in her game in a way the women's game feels lacking a lot of the time.

Yeah that sucks about Archer. Very worrying after spending so long trying to rehabilitate. Hard to imagine him standing up to test cricket when he returns.

Foakes is very unlucky. He’s proven very handy with the bat in the lower order by being that gritty player who’s going to chip away when England are up against it. Fingers crossed Bairstow can come back in the same form anyway.

Harsh on Foakes, they keep calling him the best keeper in the world but he always ends up getting dropped at the first opportunity. Understandable they want Bairstow back in but then again that form was a year ago now, he hasn't really made a decent contribution yet in his 2 games for Yorkshire.

Archer unfortunately seems done at Test level, hopefully he can finally get his elbow sorted well enough for him to continue with the shorter formats.

Very sad news about Archer and can't help but feel he will be one of those players who ends up playing about 10% of the cricket he would have done without injuries.

To be ruled out of an entire Ashes summer before it even begins must be heartbreaking for him.

Can't believe how close it is now.

Bazball has changed Test cricket but its effectiveness to date cannot be argued because of its success.

This will surely be the biggest challenge it has faced to date though and I just hope Stokes has a Plan B.

Jimmy Anderson career review.
Just the most incredible bowler in the history of world cricket.
685 first class wickets and counting.
Even at 40, he is still one of the very best bowlers.
I can remember his England debut and he has evolved his technique into the most accurate and yet can swing the ball either way.
Simply brilliant and we won't see the likes of him for a long time.
Although Stuart Broad is not far behind.

The World Cup-winning opening batter has been offered a two-year deal worth around £300,000 by the Los Angeles Knight Riders, which he wants to pursue despite the risk it could jeopardise his place in England's squad for this year's 50-over title defence in India.

Roy is currently contracted by the ECB on a so-called incremental deal until October, which gives the governing body some control over his schedule.

In a historic move Roy would become the first England player to walk away from a central contract in order to pursue alternative ambitions with a Twenty20 franchise.

As Major League Cricket clashes with the County Championship and T20 Blast it is understood that the ECB are only prepared to grant Roy the No Objection Certificate required to play if they cancel his incremental deal.

While Roy retains ambitions to play for England the security of the two-year offer he has received from LA Knight Riders is a significant factor in his reasoning.

The ECB have told Roy that his decision will not impact on Mott's selection plans or the next round of central contracts, which are awarded in October.

Mail Sport revealed earlier this month that Mumbai Indians are preparing to offer Jofra Archer a 12-month contract that would take precedence over his ECB deal and Roy's move reflects this trend, as the LA Knight Riders are owned his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

The inaugural Major League Cricket which launches in Texas this summer represents a particular threat to English cricket due to scheduling, with Mail Sport revealing on Wednesday that the new competition will expand into August next year, leading to a clash with the Hundred.

Four of the six franchises in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Texas and Washington are owned by IPL teams who are offering salaries of up to £300,000, compared to a top rate of £125,000 in the Hundred.

I've now lost track of how many fast English bowlers are ending up with long injuries compared to previous years. Anyone who gets good seems to end up injured.

I don't really get why him. Surely the cricket fans in the US want to see South Asian players? Why is it worth throwing sizeable sums at an English bloke?

They still can't sign Indian players I imagine so someone like Jason Roy would really stand out given his international career. I'm surprised a big deal has been made of it given he isn't missing any England matches for the tournament. Literally will go after the Blast is done.

On a side note, both Lancashire and Surrey look so good on paper and on the field in the Blast right now. Be amazing if they're in the final.
