Strange one because he has the raw skills but is a bit all over the place. He is kind of like Prasidh who has also been playing the series. Good height, hit the deck and bowling 90+ at times but has bowled some really loose balls too.

Such an impressive series win for England after losing the first game. Proper team effort. As for India I can see a lot of drama coming up in Indian cricket.
They'll come again, they are just at the end of their tried and tested methods.

As for this game, well over 700 runs in 100 overs is some going overall, and from the limited number of overs I actually watched, I thought Bethell and Curran bowled pretty well.

The country is stacked with white ball talent - you just need to pick the right ones and put them in the right position.
Bowling is obviously a weakness if Bumrah's not around. As long as he is, India can pick teams that will be favourites in either of the two formats.

The Glammy youngsters had a day of it today, two first time centuries, one on debut too for Hope-Bell, then 19 year old spinner Franco took some battering but still took two big wickets.

It's fine mate we just hop on the train to London and pay £150 for the ticket.
The lads I knock about with for the cricket all went Trent Bridge this summer I couldn't go as was in Berlin, so I expect that's where we'll end up this year if we can get tickets but still shite, youd always expect one or the other or both northern grounds to have a test match especially in an Ashes series given the history and to cater for the Northern fans.
We're just greatful they give us a token one day game per year, getting an ODI and a IT20 in the same calendar is huge!

I would say Duckett's batting is something that wouldn't exist as it does without bazball and shouldn't be tampered with much.
I don't think there's a lot else left that was still looking fruitful though.
I think over time people have morphed Bazball into many different things.
Aggressive batting is not Bazball - Brook will not change etc.
I thought they might give it to Root temporarily for the rest of this summer and then go to Brook. He'd have 6 tests abroad to ease into it with a little less scrutiny before next summer.
People have their own versions of what Bazball is. My take may be different to yours.
E.g, I wouldn't put Ducketts batting style down to Bazball, he has always batted like that. Bazball mindset allowed him to bring that approach up a level into the top level. They didn't tell him to whack it.
Others see Brook ping one to deep square and go...Bazball.

Not sure if people have seen this but it's been kicking off on social media. Some guy from Saltburn was clicking his fingers imitating an edge of the bat.
There's always been jokes about clicking your fingers in the slips and I'm sure there's always been plenty of people actually doing it.
