Send Kone there as well. Lausanne are in the conference league qualifiers so if they get through, these players should have good European experience.

Why you'll rather we bring this players over and play them in the youth team which doesn't truly test them, or you'll rather we let them go to the likes of benfica, Dortmund or Leverkusen and then they're priced for 100m in two years.
This is the way United could get them Haaland and Bellinghams groom them and they arrive as proper United players.

Is it fair to ask why you’re not a fan of signing promising youngsters ?
This club can’t win. It’s great to see in my opinion and see their development unfold .

Yeah I’d much rather spend £50m+ on proven players and feck our psr too
 
We're well and truly on a state of if you can't beat them, join them.

Football has moved on and we're lacking in almost every way possible.

Time to buy anything that has a foot, can kick, and sign it to a 15 year contract.

I'm not criticising youth player signings at all, just the multi-club model. It's just objectively shit that Chelsea own Strasbourg, and especially that City own Palermo, Girona, Troyes, Lommel, Melbourne, New York... etc etc.

I'm not at all keen to see us get started with it now, but realistically we'll just be left behind if we don't.
 
In the late 90s didn't United loan young players to Royal Antwerp to gain first team experience? I see no difference here except United didn't own the Belgian club.
 
we sent them trainers for a while. Warren Joyce spent 2 years there

He did, as did Higginbotham, Wallwork, Chadwick, Rachubka, Bardsley, Dong, Eckersley, Ritchie Jones, Lee Martin, Heaton, Ebanks-Blake, Simpson, Frazier Campbell, Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson, Shawcross, Cathcart and a few others.

Incredible memory. Mad to think two of our players from the squad last year went on loan there!
 
Never heard of him but here's hoping his experience at Lacoste Sport is useful

Because I remember at the time thinking what an exciting and innovative approach it was. I know there were others but all of those were players that I remember thinking would really go somewhere based on their Antwerp loan. Shows how wrong I was, although many did go on to have decent careers.

What I remember most is the stuff that happened with Higginbotham and Wallwork. As I recall Wallwork faced a life-ban there for a while
 
Quite pleased how we seem to be building our Youth set-up. Hopefully we will have a competitive first team in 5 years or so.
 
Signed on a free, last season was disrupted with injuries whilst on loan and likely to go on loan again.

A youngster with some potential who was worth a cheap punt on. Not exactly a stick to beat Ineos with?

Some people don't need a real reason. I mean there is a lot of valid reasons for criticism, but signing this kid doesn't feel like one of them

So it was a good decision, seemingly, to sign him? Or what else do you mean by "don't need a reason"? Explain yourself.

You can critique the signing but you haven’t? You’ve eluded to the fact you’re unhappy with it but it’s not really clear why.

Perhaps if you made a coherent post which would allow people to discuss the topic we may get somewhere rather than trying to tease something meaningful out of you.
