It's not just the penchant for scoring that will be hugely attractive to suitors, but his pace, too.
It's not often strikers are so tall and that patently fast, so it's like a ridiculous bonus card that will make him appeal to any high-paced forward line that looks to break, uniformly, at pace.
It might sound ridiculous, but the way we play currently is going to have its appeal, that, plus our threadbare squad guaranteeing almost dead certain immediate first team action plus the raise in profile and the obscene wages we *need* to pay - this is not like the usual wunderkind who comes on the market we haven't a hope of contesting for; this is actually a perfect match for player and club with the obvious Ole connection being an ace, too.
A teenager is not going to prioritise the CL over playing time - these are crucial years for development, and any well-managed teen is going to hold off going to a giant with a top tier frontline already in place unless guarantees or clauses are placed in their contract for game time. There's no sense in going to a club where you're not needed just yet and will get a roll out for the odd 20-30 minutes or when the star men are rested or injured. It's no coincidence the big move to the top clubs tends to be made at around 23-25 once the player has had plenty of first team action at the other club and ironed out his game.
I can't say I'm certain that we're going to go in and make him a priority, but if we do, for once, we're definitely front-runners for his signature and can offer what few other giant clubs can, ironically, because we're underperforming to such a degree.
