ESPN: Utd want Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho and Antony at other clubs before July 22nd (start of pre-season tour USA)

Selling garnacho to a premier league club, especially arsenal or chelsea would be an incredibly stupid decision. Would rather we take a 10 million hit and send him to Napoli (if we can force his hand) or reintegrating him into the squad, rather than selling him to a PL rival

I’m a fan personally. Seeing him sabotage our rivals’ attacks instead of watching him sabotage ours would be a nice change.

I don’t like the fact that Garnacho (and Rashford/Antony to some extent) are being put in the same bracket as Sancho. I don’t think there has ever been a case of a bigger waste of money on a player that didn’t give a shit than Sancho.

The obvious danger is that away from the pressure at United and in a system more suited to his skillset, it suddenly all clicks for him. He's at that age where it could happen in any case. If we let him go for what I consider a low price at £40m and he starts putting in consistently dangerous performances, we're all going to be very pissed off.

If he's really a bad egg it could turn out to be an excellent decision actually

Who can say for sure. But he did put his head down and continued working for the team whereas rashford and Sancho did not.

Not in favour of player power at all but I still don't see reason to get rid of garnacho only on the manager's behalf, who himself might not be here for long.

Amorim has hardly done much to justify his own position and we should not be getting rid of an important player like garnacho purely on his whim.

Honestly, I'd be very pissed off too if the manager started a crock in the final above our most 2nd most productive attacker.

The rest can and should happily find other clubs as they hand proven again and again to be right drama queen or simply not good enough

Garnacho is also not good enough.

What so many have missed about my post, is its not about the players. Its about the profiles. We are ditching wingers in favour of inside forwards, and idk how that will pan out in the future.

Tbh I bet Mbeumo's heat map would look look a lot more like a winger's than most of the players we want to sell

What's he said that's been critical? And by cater to him I mean he clearly believes he has a devine right to start so unless Amorim does that fully expect "dressing room sources" to be leaking things week after week or interviews.

Amorim's tenure here has been shite but how he's handled the majority of the players has been spot on. Want aways been shown the door i.e Rashford and Antony and how he's handled Garnacho has been completely reasonable.

Does he though? He was dropped by Amorim and worked his way back in and Amorim praised his attitude.

To a degree I'd agree but what I haven't liked about Amorim's time at the club is he talks too much to the press about player issues that should be kept behind closed doors. Ten Hag did similar, no one will convince me anything positive comes about as a result of it.

And the 1st time he had genuine competition and got dropped he decided to do a post game interview, his brother starting shit and all of a sudden "dressing room sources" started leaking again.

Again what did Amorim say that was so critical?

He should have started ahead of Mount in the final though. I never actually seen this interview, who was it conducted with?

I am not a fan of the manager feeding the British media with stuff that should be kept behind closed doors. Take your pick of anything he's said over the last 6 months, several of which he's admitted himself he made a mistake saying in public.

That's your opinion. You've said he's been critical of him for months, what has he actually said? He dropped him and the reason has been kept quiet and you yourself said he publicly praised him after the fact.

The the comment he made after the final about him missing a chance in the semi's out of context seemed odd but once you add the context to what he was asked it was more than a fair response imo.

It was a joke. Aside from that, we’re not going to be selling him for £40 million to any PL rivals, and a club like Arsenal aren’t going to be in for a player like Garnacho anyway.

Indeed but I wasn't alone or probably not even in the minority after the game. He dropped him before Xmas because he said he wasn't happy with I belive his attitude and/or training.

This was Amorim?

Why do we keep going over this? There's been plenty of posts documenting the times Garnacho has caused issues under both Amorim and ETH. It isn't a myth, people have just turned a blind eye. If he didn't have discipline issues it wouldn't keep coming up.

I'd be delighted if we got £60m for him. It's money we desperately need and there is no guarantee he's going to develop into a top class player. He can be someone else's headache, I'm done with our players behaving like divas. Can we go back to being a professional club again please?

"..United need to have Sancho, Rashford, Antony and Garnacho safely tucked away at other clubs before the team heads to Chicago on July 22. The alternative for Amorim is an uncomfortable summer working with players he doesn't want..."

"..If deals for Sancho, Rashford, Antony and Garnacho cannot be agreed before the tour, Amorim and the club have decisions to make. Either they take them to the U.S. and risk the trip being disrupted by unwelcome distractions. Or they're all left at home to train at Carrington, significantly reducing United's bargaining position with interested clubs. Both sides of the coin come with a risk..."

Comment: at least the club are proactively looking at getting them all out, whether it's loans or transfers. Not sure how successful they will be.

Im sure United do, but what is the inventive for other clubs to take them?

The window ends September 1.

Clubs will sit back and wait towards the end of the window. The more United get desperate to get rid of players that everyone knows are not wanted, the higher % of the loan salaries we will pay for Sancho and Rashford. Same maybe for Antony.
