I'm torn between thinking it's got some character and is just another lifeless modern building.

Are there plans to deal with the wind?
The small roof opening I'm guessing helps alleviate it. The open looking side looks to be glass. Wonder what the shadow on the pitch is gonna be like though.

Didn’t even realise they were actually building one. Fair play, love seeing new stadiums and progression within the league

The club intends to demolish the old stadium and use the 3.39ha site for a mixed-use development, which will include 173 residential units, a care home, non-residential space for community use, shops, offices, food and drink outlets, with the necessary landscaping, access and parking provisions.

Everton stadium development and project manager Alix Craig has also affirmed that the new development will “maintain the legacy vision” of the club. She added the Blues are “deeply rooted in L4” and were keen to “maintain that connection” with the area.

Initial suggestions as to how the legacy will be preserved include keeping the historic entrance gates on the southwest side, ensuring the memorial plaques to former fans remain in place either side of the gate, and retaining the statue of Ralph ‘Dixie’ Dean on site.

Really not far off completion by the look of things.

Hope they stay up and get to show it off. You wonder how their home form will be impacted next season after the move.

We made the decision to not move until 2025 so it doesn't happen mid-season.
