I'm not sure what is happening with them or Ajayi. Will need to let it shake out and see what happens.

That camera angle in this match is fecking with my brain.
Even from a technical analysis point of view, I don't know why they don't put the main camera on a raised rig.
We are playing lovely stuff. Serios at LW seems like a good talent.

Nope - McEvoy wasn't offside - but it's possible that the guy who made the low cross was.

Dejonge-Seiros has taken the RB's mojo. I would not be surprised with a change at half time by the Everton coach.

Don't quite understand all the negativity towards this team (were quite a few negative comments during the City-game). I don't know the quality of this Everton-side but United have been totally dominant the first 60 minutes and look quite capable

Ngwashi with a nasty tackle just outside the box....loses control of the ball and goes studs in to win it back....that was orange. Freekick awful from Everton...no power and too high
Any standout talents in this current u18s group? I remember liking the look of Ngwashi before he missed a full season with injury. Anyone else catching the eye?

3-0 Bradbury (90+2) - long ball from Helafu - defender doesnt deal with it and Bradbury is through on goal and slots the ball between the legs of the keeper
He should probably have passed to Ziro for a tap in.
How old is their Amper? he's so tiny, looks like a 10 year old

Hardy - 6 - not much to do - saved the one chance he had to deal with
Helafu - 7 - very solid the entire game
Ngwashi - 6 - made a few errors which he most of the time dealt with himself.
McCormack - 7 - you hardly noticed he was there. Professional job
Watson - 7 - lots of good runs to help Seiros and Camacho on the left. + for a very good set-piece that lead to a goal
Shah - 8 - my man of the match. Bossed the midfield with McEvoy - find good positions in the box
McEvoy - 8 - lots of tackles and running. Very good game.
Dejonge-Seiros - 7 - the best player on the pitch the first 30 minutes - but vanished and was correctly subbed after about an hour
Camacho - 7 - a bit of the same as Seiros. Very good first 30 but mostly anonymous afterwards
Mpofu - 5 - very ineffective and was not involved too much.
Brown - 6 - gets into positions but lacks the quality to take the chances.

As someone who could make it here?
It is so hard to make it at as a topclub - you need luck with injuries, you need the player in your position not to be world class etc. In addition - making it as a keeper or at least a central defender, you need to be loaned out because realistically you will never get chances without experience in those positions
I would rate Helafu as one who could make it - but chances are very small. If you look at every young player to break into our first-team -almost all stood out insanely much at lower level. And it should also be added that almost every single player who broke into our first team over the since 2000 have been central midfielders or attacking players. If we set 50 matches as a limit - Rashford, Greenwood, McTominay, Lingard, Mainoo, Garnacho, Pereira, Welbeck, Gibson, Fletcher, Richardson, Cleverley, Januzaj and Elanga. Only 1 defender made it - Johnny Evans.
Looking at those stats - realistically, he wont make it. But I think he will have a really good career
Too soon to tell, remember that JJ would probably be in this group but he's already past it. Rooney and Carrick have a lot of buzz because of their parents but neither are that good or bad and both are just 16 in the u18s. Helafu also has talent but he's a different kind of RB probably more like Maz so he's not your standard fullback. And then Hardy was one to watch when we signed him. There's a few more in the group but for the most part most it's too early to tell, most of these kids have never played meaningful minutes in the U18S

The team looked quite good. Shah looked much better today. Took his goal very nicely and struck well. Seiros very lively on the left wing. Will have a good career somewhere. Brown regularly finds space but doesn't convert his chances. Mpofu just seems so off the pace at this level. I can see why we were after Joseph the striker from Liverpool.
Helafu is quick and good on the ball but too small. Watson at LB, Rafe at CB are good ball players but these boys are too small and don't have that blinding speed to make up for their lack of size. Similar to Amass. Ngwashi looked solid, still a few minor errors but does look like he will develop. Great size and has the speed to match. McEvoy will be like Gore, a solid career somewhere else. Keeper Hardy has big wraps and looks very solid and assured. Reads the game well and good with the ball at his feet. Good potental with him in a few years.

Impressive summary. Even better with that dodgy camera angle.
I meant he has that raw talent and you see him run through, do multiple step overs and muck it up at the crucial time. He seems to do it a lot. When I watch him and he goes on a run, I automatically (sadly) think this will break down.
From your summary - I would say we more or less agree on everything
Pretty normal for a young winger, no? Inconsistent production and frustrating decision making.
Obviously nobody knows which players will have a penny drop moment and kick on and to what degree, lots of hard work and good fortune needed as well as the natural talent.
All that said, its weird to bring his family into your point.

I would say this team lacks standout players. They're not a bad team though, just a lot of 6-7/10 players. This season the U21 is more exciting with players like Thwaites, Gabriel, maybe Ajayi and a few others.
