This was briefed at least three times last season. It surely played its part in the lacklustre performances this season (emphasis on "part"). The club is obviously hoping for bids for players they won't actively try to sell, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with Bruno, a benchmark of sorts.

So far the prices put on players by the club are 40m Rashford, 25m Sancho, 32.5m Antony.

Edit: Garnacho seems to have a 60m price tag (James Ducker).

Hear this shit every summer. We will still be stuck with the same shitty players come next season.

Publicly declaring your players are all up for sale sure is a great way to maximize their market value

Translation; we want to sell Bruno. They did the same when they tried to flog Rashford, back then they mentioned him by name.

Come get all the players that finished just above relegation and lost a final to Spurs. Limited supply - get ‘em while they are hot!

Meh, there's very few players I'd consider indispensable at this point. Maybe just Yoro.

Everyone else has a price.

We have some players like Shaw, Mount, Casemiro that might want to see out their contracts for the financial gain. Might be hard to shift.

When a club like United likely finish on 39 points it’s hard not to justify wanting to get rid of 90% of the squad. Yoro and Amad were the only two players that really turned up last night.

You know what, feck it.

We do this every time as fans. Manager inherits shit squad from previous manager; we have optimism, it doesn't work out and then before that manager can have requisity transfer windows to create his team of profiles to fit his tactics, we call for blood and the sack hammer.

How about, for once post-Sir Alex; just once, we break the vicious cycle and let the motherfecking rebuild happen over time with one manager and entertain the possibility that if you don't give it a go, even once, it won't fecking happen.

That's how you get yourself a Wijnaldum for cheap.

It's literally what happened with all managers except Moyes. You are suggesting to follow the vicious cycle.

Probably true. The problem is nobody wants them because they're crap.

If you believe that, you'll believe Amorim will turn things around next season.

No way we sell Amad, Yoro, Heaven and Obi.
Nor Dorgu since he is new here. Also I doubt we'd sell De Ligt or Maz who have been quite good, especially since we need 3 at the back for Amorim's formation. I'd personally keep Zirkzee too.

As for the rest, yeah probably no one is safe.

I reckon they'll try to sell a few home grown players

That’s not true.

LVG, Mourinho, OGS and ETH were given enough transfer windows to make suitable changes. They all made mistakes, but ETH made the biggest mistakes especially in his second transfer window, which will go down as the worst transfer window in our history.

One winter window isn't sufficient to fit profiles, is it?

Be honest. It's not, is it? Let the Summer happen and then let's see if cutting ties after six months is an emotionally irrational overreaction or not.

Every one is for sale, but we’ll be unlucky to offload / recoup fees paid. So will end up similar this year where loads go out at shit fees or on loan…

Again, the point is that you want the club to repeat the same flawed logic. Personally I want a manager that adapts to what he has, not one that relies heavily on the transfer market and players that fit a specific vision, to me this shouldn't be part of the early stage of a tenure.

I’m with you but Amorim not adapting shouldn’t come as a surprise and makes it all the more ridiculous he was hired midseason.

People keep saying the squad isn't as bad as we are seeing. People will be queuing up for some bargains!

Is Manager up for sale too or he gets clean slate after winning 6 league games in 8 months, conceding 4 against midtable French side with a man down or refusing to budge from his crap system which needs 3 center backs all the time even when you are down 1-0 and need a goal to make a comeback in European final.

Stick the club up for sale while you’re at it. See if we can get some competent owners.

They’re inviting offers ….trouble is there aren’t any

I can see the queue forming already. The top clubs in world football queuing up for our useless rejects.

"Hey, you don't happen to have a striker who can't pass, shoot, hold up play, tackle, or position himself anywhere useful, do you?"

Well actually, yes we do! And we can also throw in a stroppy bright blonde winger with a hugely inflated sense of self-worth and very little between the ears...or how about an ageing midfielder who's glory days are well behind him and who's likely to spend the first quarter of the season looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? Goalie who loves a good flap? We have it all!

Not a fan of Amad?
No I do like Amad - followed him closely at Rangers and Sunderland and have always felt he’d be a very good player if he could develop physically. I don’t think the Amorim 10 role especially suits him but yes Amad, Yoro, Dalot, Dorgu and Maz I’d keep. Outside of them - any good offers and I’d sell. Yoro is the only player we have that I’d confidently say will be good enough in 3 years time to be starting in a title challenging team though.

Christ, thanks for teasing a chuckle out of me after a dreary 24hours. The MegaMegaStore is open for business people!

Same nonsense Ratcliffe and Berrada are running a clown show. The focus is on the players yet United haven't had one world class manager since SAF departure and the only candidate who fits that criteria was an over the hill Jose who competitively has won the most from a prestigious standpoint at the club.

Nothing has changed, spend 150 this summer and guess what it's average to below average managers pioneering a rebuild. This time around there's a coach who's one dimensional and inexperienced. The club doesn't learn, INEOS is the worst thing to happen in the last decade without a shadow of a doubt.

Say what you want about the Glazers but their worst league finish with running the footballing side is 6th and that was with a manager who was supposed to be come in temporarily to then assume a role in the hierarchy. Jim has come in and standards have fallen dramatically short.
