Jeez man it’s not like Pogba all of a sudden decided to leave after the abuse by that stupid fan. He has pretty much winked at Madrid half a season and down tools when Zidane blew are kisses at him. You cannot make someone stay against his will. If he wants unconditonal love from the fans maybe he should effing earn it first?

Very accurate slating of United. It's very easy for a former player of ours to sit there in a studio and slate everything that happens. You've got Neville, Scholes, etc constantly giving it some, saying this, that and the other, but Evra has hit many nails on their heads with this.

What I don't agree with, is the fact that Pogba is "surrounded by negativity". Let's be honest, most games lately, when Pogba doesn't get the service he desperately needs, he throws his hands up in frustration at the player(s) that haven't given him a good through ball or a cross. Fans see this, and then see him cock up an attempt at nutmegging, stepping over, or generally going around a player, which in turn makes a lot of fans become annoyed at his general attitude of "one rule for him, another for everyone else".

United need a heavy clear out, and I wouldn't be sad to see Pogba leave. I feel he's always going to be too much of a powerful product in that dressing room. I know a team isn't made up of one goalscorer that can put 30+ in a season down, but if he was that attacker, doing that with that amount of goals, you'd be desperate to keep him, I for one, am not desperate to see him stay.

There is a huge lack of passion. When you're at OT and the only real cheer you hear is seeing your rivals score a goal to stop your more successful than them rivals win a title, you know there's a big, horrible problem.

Even court jesters can make valid points. He is spot on re all the issues blighting us. He is not deluded that it will be a long way back and neither should we.

Yep, fans kicked the hell out of his Bentley whilst he was sat in it! they certainly don't hold anything back. As someone above has said, this is a guy with 4 CL wins for the club. Imagine what they'd do to Pogba? WOW

I still can't get my head around telling Pogba to 'feck off', yet not a word is said to the likes of Young, Lingard or Jones. Bizarre.

He seems to take no enjoyment in ripping this pathetic squad a new one, which makes a pleasant change from the LFC TV pundits we've been subjected to for months. I'd really like there to be a role for him at United, but it'd probably be impossible in the short term after he's been so direct here.

Some interesting stuff there about the influence of agents and Pogba leaving us for Juve back in the day. It was always clear from the outside that it was Raiola's decision but still nice to see that confirmed by someone who was there and knows Pogba well. So many times Ferguson was blamed for that on here.

Fantastic interview. He's the sort of person we need. My favourite line - "When you work for Man United, you have to sacrifice your life for it."

Young was getting abuse taking corners late in the game. To a point where he shirked and told the 2 young lads to take the next one short between themselves

A reason the fans get after Bale is that he hasn't learned the language in 5 years and is a loner in the dressing room,Pogba is the opposite in both cases so the comparison is pretty off base

Thought Patrice would ask Neville about his constant jibes at Pogba. I mean, he has a platform and uses it to slag off players (the foreign ones especially). Evra should have asked him about that.

What you mean the throw in that went straight to mctominay? Instead of holding the striker off and winning it back he tried to jump infront and got rolled. Everybody is standing watching it happen but as soon as it spills the attacker is ALWAYS on the front foot first. Goals like that are scored all the time.

But because Alan shearer has a bone to pick suddenly it’s all his fault again  why didn’t Dalot come across and try to block it instead of standing in no mans land?

Maybe we should have had a proper CB on the pitch instead of asking mctominay to do a job he clearly cannot do.

I dont care if Pogba leaves tbh. At this point, no player is irreplaceable to me. Some have regressed badly. Just give me 11 players willing to go through a brick wall for this club and I dont care if we get some of them from League One.
We have talented players who refuse the hard work. That won't work.

That's not the point at all. It is Pogba having possibly the Madrid fans booing him down the line, their fans are much harsher than ours

What’s Alan Shearer got to do with it? hahaha

I never said all the blames on Pogba. McTominay, Dalot and Smalling all made mistakes for the goal but it at least seemed like they tried, they just weren’t sure what to do/where to be because that’s the level of player they are.

Pogba knew exactly what he needed to do but just chose not to do it, which is inexcusable. Honestly struggle to understand how another united fan can defend this, makes me sick to my stomach seeing players refuse to try.

I was expanding on Bale's case because it's a particular one since he's been on the fans bad side regardless of performance. They've had a bone to pick with him for off the field stuff

Perfomance related whistling still happens and even their managers have gotten the same treatment with the white handkerchiefs but all that may be easier to deal with and get passed when you're in a squad consistently competing for top honors.

They also happened to be booing Ronaldo at various times too and he's never had issues with them off the field.

As right as Evra is about all that he's saying, i definitely thing the barbs at Sanchez were pre-planned with Pogba.

It's clearly his way of letting the world know that the rest of the squad are just as disgusted at Sanchez's wage and how he's given absolutely nothing on the pitch to justify it.

He wouldn’t stop banging on about it on match of the day.

It happened in a split second off a throw in, defending teams always get caught out like that as you rely on your defence doing a job.

It’s nothing to do with not caring or not trying. I feel it’s your own personal dislike for pogba that makes his “lack of effort” stand out more than others.

I think it's his languid playing style which lends itself to those criticisms. It's not bust a gut all action lets say. He's so talented when he isn't shining he's pretty much dwelling on the ball, not fighting for it back. We've never really had a player like him in the middle. Berba up top is the closest.

I don’t really understand why we stopped playing him as the number 10. Everything was going well we changed formation and moved him backwards again. Put 2 work horses behind him and get some proper widemen, we will be fine.

Agreed. I honestly think some fans get a hard on at the thought of slagging Pogba off. Certainly seems like it when his name is the first when asked about the club.....

Some of you act like Pogba is the only player to get abuse from our fans, just in the past few days I have seen racist abuse on social media aimed at Young and Lingard with their accounts being tagged and I am sure this happens more often than not.

also what that clip with the fan doesn't show is what was said while the other players were going into the tunnel how do we know that the same fan wasn't saying the same stuff to all the players as they turned into the tunnel.

Now this is utter bollocks. And some other poster will take this as gospel and run with the narrative. Pogbas form dropped well before the international break, just like performances from the rest of the team. He spoke about Madrid in the international break less than two months ago. Not "half a season"

I agree. Many others have been abused. However very few get it with the passion Pogba does. Its really odd imo.

Pogba is the only genuine world class player at the club. He is the guy the fans look to for a show of inspiration, to be the creative spark, to produce a high standard of football consistently and without complaint.

So when they see him strutting around the park without a care in the world, 2-0 down at home to Cardiff, after yet another horribly below-par display, they are going frustrated and angry. Pogba bore the brunt of their frustration on this occasion because he placed himself in the line of fire by addressing them directly after the game. Bad timing really.

He wanted away well before he spoke before the break. But whatever, even if you were right, does that excuse his behaviour? I don’t disagree with many here that he gets more stick than the rest bc he is the main man. That said my point is that if you looked at his conduct, performance and attitude on and off the pitch in the context of his entire time here, he really hasn’t done himself any favours. If he leaves, he needs to own a big part of that failure.

They boo the "best" players because we know they can do better when they want to. We know the rest aren't as good, therefore the expectations are lower.

PSG first leg: Pogba was man marked out of the game. We failed miserably as a team with our inability to play from the back being exposed by PSG. Teams started to implement similar tactic and found success in isolating Pogba and our attack the back. This reached the point OGS went on about Pogba positional switch (Watford gave us a hard time despite the defeat even) citing France ability to ulitize Pogba differently with success.

    Get a grip.

How on earth is that hate? Why is it hating to point out the fecking obvious.

Pogba along with most of the squad dislike Sanchez, dislike his contribution and dislike the amount of money he's making. As they should do. So obviously Evra has obliged Pogba by naming and shaming. Which is ultimately good because the more negative press Sanchez gets from fans, pundits and players the sooner we're likely to be rid of him.

Sorry, Pat. United fans love you when you show you are committed. When you stand and watch a guy run off with the ball(not the first time I might add) and make a goal, thats when get called out. feck his hair cuts, his instagram and whatever else. Jogging around the pitch not giving a feck is never good enough. Being world class when he feels like it isnt good enough. He doesnt have to be a leader, he doesnt have to scored the winning goal every game. All he needs to to do is give his best effort on the pitch. That all any of them have to do. If they get beat, they get beat. I dont care about losing to a team that outplays us, or gets luck or whatever. But when I see a the team just half assin around, its hard to feel anything but disgust. And Im only sat on comfy chair watching TV. I cant imagine how pissed off anyone who actually goes to the games must feel. Especially the european away games. feck making that journey to watch these lot fanny about.

Honestly hope he goes. Sick of side show. go to madrid, and see how much they tolerate players that dont give 100% every game.

Legend. So true about being a team of men once. Players used to leave sweat, tears and blood on the pitch for the badge and for what it represents. They just knew. Nowadays players are "playing" for their instagram and their personal brands, none of them have any idea what the badge represents.
Years we've been laughing at Arsenal and now we became just that, a bunch of "boyz" who care more about instagram and dressing room selfies than about United.
I'd take Evra at this day and age over Young every day of the week.
