Christ it’s painful being a Ferrari fan especially for the last decade. We ain’t even the 2nd fastest car anymore. Down to 4th or 5th. McLaren is definitely faster. It’s a toss up between Racing Point, Renault and Ferrari for 4,5 and 6. Wish Leclerc would have qualified for Q3. He would have given it a bit more than fecking Vettel.

Class from Lewis. Really fun qualifying session except for the tragedy that Ferrari is yet another second off the pace in the wet..

More like 2 full seconds off the pace based on the results. I miss the Ross Brawn and Jean Todt days.

George Russell needs to be in a Mercedes soon, he's been very impressive so far.
I was thinking myself he deserves to be at a better team. I really hope one day Williams can sort out their problems and get a good car out there.

Its hard not to like Russell and Norris I always support the Brits and these guys even more so.

Yeah I would have liked either one of them to take Ferrari’s second spot over Sainz.

F2 race is about to start under the safety car, should be carnage when they really get under way.

Leclerc, Raikkonen and Perez have all been summoned to the stewards, Leclerc for impeding Kvyat and passing the control line under a red flag so could get a six place penalty. Should improve Ferrari's spirit.

Watching the F2 race Shwartzman is the real deal, Ferrari won’t but he should be promoted over Mick Schumacher imo.

Yeah, he's made an amazing start in F2. Think all of the top 4 will get a shot in F1 soon enough.

Tsunoda was so unlucky though.

Charles Leclerc will drop three places from his already-disappointing grid slot at the Styrian GP for blocking Daniil Kvyat in qualifying.

The Ferrari driver had dropped out in Q2 in 11th place but will now start 14th.

Change my mind - it will be between Sainz and Max for future WC titles.

At the very least Norris or Russel will be up there too. So far I can't see Leclerc fulfilling his supposed promise. He doesn't have the same winning attitude imho those other 4 do. Losing the plot under pressure way too quick - and its not like he s 18 or 19 anymore.

I might have worded it a bit poorly but that's what I was trying to say, they're already one second behind in the dry and another second on top of that in the wet. Can't do anything but laugh at it all really, I mean I don't think anyone believed that they would be conteders this year but to see them struggle to keep up with half the grid is insane.

Or even just a competitive team.
Would be very interesting to see how he compares with Lando Norris who looks to be a star in the making.

Norris is more talented I think. Also Sainz is going to Ferrari. We ain’t competing for the title anymore soon.
Yeah I'm only saying that with the probably far fetched assumption Ferrari will get their shit together by next season. The fight between Sainz and Leclerc should make for some entertainment at the very least.

I wouldn’t hold thy breath. Been waiting for a decade to get their shit together. Somehow with the 2nd biggest budget they are actually regressing every season.

Now we know that their speed last season was down to their engine higher fuel flow. Just look at Hass and Alfa. And they got away with it far too easily.

2018 was really should be Ferrari's up untill Vettel's self implode in Germany. That year their car was the fastest imo.

Did Leclerc get a penalty do we know?

No good words about Sainz?

Beating Bottas, only .2 off max.

He really is so under rated. He will run Leclerc a lot closer than people expect next year.

That was up there in Hamilton pole laps, mega stuff. I actually think Max will push him hard tomorrow though.

Sainz brilliant, Ocon impressive and Russell driving the wheels off that thing.

Yeah I dont think it will be easy. Last week Max was definitely chopping in to the Mercedes lead before he broke down so that would definitely suggest he has enough pace to compete. Its going to be a good battle hopefully!

Difficult to tell who really is the best in F1 with all the variables at play in the car and with the team.

Until it rains.

A close second to his Singapore 2018 lap, great driving yesterday. Rain separates the good from great all too often.
