No, if he pits then the others just take him before the safety car picks him up.

Ah, that would make sense. The way the commentators were talking was as though he had a choice as it wasn’t a stop-go penalty.. surely if he has a choice, you’d just add it on to your race time?

Less than 20 laps in and Hamilton takes a 10 second penalty yet comes out infront of Ocon so net third and absolutely destroys the Ferrari down the same straight. That highlights the level of domination and how poor the manufacturer teams of Renault and Ferrari have been.
All that’s happened in this race is a messy Turn 1 and commentators going on about penalties for all manor of reasons
I dont think it be has dull as past years, but your right, there has been a few penalties this race.
Hate that penalty for Ricciardo so much.
Same, how about just design the circuit to punish such errors instead of an instant 5 seconds. Makes no sense when you consider the last race cars were using every corner to run wide.

3rd at worse, might get second.
Continues to be mad how much Max is able to squeeze out if that RB yet cant get close to the Mercs on pace. Hamilton shouldn't be able to get back up third as quick as he did let alone have a chance at 2nd. Literally the only thing stopping the Mercs is tyres and penalties. And even then.. Beating a dead horse I guess.
