Hopefully someone shite like Grimsby for a nice easy win

Wrexham away
Or
Weston Super Mare
Boreham Wood
Brackley Town
Salford City

Absolutely no to any boring mid table PL team. Those 3R ties should be outlawed.

Want Brackley Town or Weston Super Mare.

Will probably get Arsenal, City or Villa away.

We seem to get Premier League teams in the FA Cup quite a lot now

What a shit draw - especially with the AFCON coming up.

Awful draw. All the other big teams get championship or league one teams and we get yet another fecking premier league team.

Rough draw. Really hoped we’d miss a prem team in the 3rd round this year.

Tough draw but then we could’ve got Grimsby away, so can’t complain.

Here's the draw:

1 Wolverhampton Wanderers v Shrewsbury Town
2 Doncaster Rovers v Southampton
3 Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa
4
Port Vale v Fleetwood Town
5 Preston North End v Wigan Athletic
6 Ipswich Town v Blackpool
7 Wrexham v Nottingham Forest
8
Charlton Athletic v Chelsea
9
Manchester City v Exeter City
10 West Ham United v Queens Park Rangers
11 Sheffield Wednesday v Brentford
12
Fulham v Middlesbrough
13 Everton v Sunderland
14
Liverpool v Barnsley
15 Burnley v Millwall
16 Norwich City v Walsall
17 Portsmouth v Arsenal
18
Derby County v Leeds United
19
Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion
20 Salford City v Swindon Town
21 Boreham Wood v Brackley Town or Burton Albion
22 Grimsby Town v Weston Super Mare
23 Hull City v Blackburn Rovers
24 Newcastle United v AFC Bournemouth
25
MK Dons v Oxford United
26 Cheltenham Town v Leicester City
27 Cambridge United v Birmingham City
28 Bristol City v Watford
29 Stoke City v Coventry City
30 Macclesfield v Crystal Palace
31
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion
32
Sheffield United v Mansfield Town

I think they will be missing Baleba and Minteh at least so might even out. We could use Maguire and Sesko being back for this though.

They'll be missing Baleba assuming Cameroon progress. Minteh is Gambian. Gambia didn't make the finals.

Annoying and boring draw - yet another Premier League tie :boring:

Danny Welbeck will be licking his lips. We usually get Premier League teams while Chelsea and City get the lower teams.

Such a fix, always with the premier league teams
Who would fix it like that?

The FA and TV companies would far prefer us to get a tough away lower league game for the chance of an upset, surely?

I was looking at this earlier and including this draw, in the last 21 seasons we've drawn 11 Premier League sides.

64 teams are entered into the FA Cup third round with 20 from the PL.

Since we can't play ourselves drawing a PL team is 19/63. Roughly a 30% chance.

Over the previous 21 seasons we've drawn 11. Roughly a 52% chance.

It'd be interesting to see how many Championship sides we've drawn in that time too as I feel it's quite high.

*I initially chose 20 seasons to give a good time frame but added on this draw too to make it 21*

Could have got Mansfield,Sheffield United instead of Brighton and the draw more annoying when you see the home bankers Liverpool and Man City got.

Shocker. City and Chelsea playing lower leagues at home whilst we get a Prem team.

We could be gone out of both cups + not playing Europe by early January, not sure that happened before. Welbeck already knocked us out of Fa Cup at Old Trafford in a season where we had no Europe.
