They will say they want the ref to make the final decision, hence the monitors.

He should have. Is it the same linesman that missed that Villa's goal was offside, wasn't sure if the linesman swapped ends after HT.

hard man.I think VAR has made them worse because they've lost that edge of needing to get the decisions right on the field first time.
Now they give the "safe" decision of a free kick outside the box when it's clearly a penalty and rely on VAR to correct them. But this time there was no VAR to bail him out.

If there's a red in the first half, 99% of the time that team loses. It becomes a bit of a non-contest. I'd prefer a 10/20 min sin bin then you can make a sub. I think it ruins games too often.
