FA Cup 4th round | 13/2/26 - 16/2/26

Not having VAR, shows how incompetent the refs really are.
I think VAR has made them worse because they've lost that edge of needing to get the decisions right on the field first time.

Now they give the "safe" decision of a free kick outside the box when it's clearly a penalty and rely on VAR to correct them. But this time there was no VAR to bail him out.

Feel Martinez should have saved that.

That being said, Scholes must be grinning from ear to ear.

Great clean hit, that. Daisy cutter.

Just needs Lucas Digne to score a hand of god equaliser to finish this game off now.

If there's a red in the first half, 99% of the time that team loses. It becomes a bit of a non-contest. I'd prefer a 10/20 min sin bin then you can make a sub. I think it ruins games too often.

At least when it's something that wasn't really vicious or dangerous, yeah.

Really annoying.

The keeper did not even need to make that tackle in the first half. Worst case pull out and see if they can finish it. Villa would have still stood a better chance of going through at 1-1 with 11 men than down to 10 with so long left.

Would have been better for United for Villa to have the extra fixture to add to their already packed schedule. Plus that win keeps Newcastle in the hunt for some kind of European football next season.

Brighton not pulling trees, so easy through for Liverpool.

Did Arne rub vaseline on his bald head?? So shiny
