What a pass from Gomes, terrible cross, Wolves had a decent chance there.
 
Corner - 20 to 30 seconds for the taker to stroll out to it and everyone to get in the box - pushing/shoving that forces the ref to stroll into the box to tell everyone to stop that takes another 20/30 seconds - Everyone resets - Corner taken.

This feels like one of those nights where there will be more games than goals. Can seriously imagine none of these score lines changing. Except Liverpool to get a dodgy late winner.

This is why we need Football 2. A more radical version of the game. Remove set pieces entirely and have a Perspex wall around the entirety of the pitch, so that the ball can never go out of play for a throw-in or corner kick. Watch Arsenal get relegated as they will be forced to score goals the real way. From Champions League to the Championship.
 
How is that not a penalty for Tavernier ? Kayode clearly hits his leg

Make the rules so that the free kick must be taken by the player who was fouled or closest to the incident that caused the free kick. Then implement a 10-second time limit to restart the game, otherwise the free kick is converted to a (contested) drop ball.

You jest but I feel football may need to do something like this in the future. What happens when the tik tok generation are our age? They consume content in 30 second chunks not full 90 minute matches on telly/the pub/at a stadium. The whole business model doesn't really work anymore once we're all dead

I thought Gravenberch should of gotten a second yellow there. Not even a foul giving. Didnt see replay though.
 
Gravenberch on a yellow so the ref knows he can't call a foul on him there because he'd have to book him again for that. PL refs are fecking cowards.
 
Refs bailed out Liverpool there. It should've been a second yellow

All the fans will be replaced by robots then. The rich entrepreneurs will send the robots to the stadium to watch the game for them. That'll be livestreamed to whatever usurps TikTok by that point. We'll be trading likes rather than cash.
 
If someone told me Bournemouth and Brentford played each other at the weekend I would’ve believed them.
