Facts about football that shouldn't be true - but are

Had Liverpool lost every league game since beating Spurs on 22 December, they’d still be one point ahead of Manchester United and Everton.
Had Liverpool lost every league game this season, they would be bottom of the PL.

Heres an even better fact for you.

Fact. I joined in 2008 when United were the best team in England and Europe. I've earned my stripes in truth.

Those three days in Craig Bellamy and John Arne Riise's lives at pre-camp in Spain and the following match against Barcelona were something out of a very unrealistic teen drama series. I can not believe that happened.

Bellamy gets very angry at Riise for refusing Bellamy's many "orders" to sing after the team dinner at a restaurant/karaoke bar, and brings a golf club to his hotel room later. He tries to hit him, but is a bit drunk and sober riise manages to jump away, and Bellamy leaves. Nobody thinks he will start against Barcelona now, not only because of this, but he is a squad player anyway. He starts the game, scores, and celebrates his goal with a golf swing. He also assists Riises goal in that game. They are the only ones to score for Liverpool, who won 2-1 away.

If you disregard penalties only Southampton have a top scorer with less goals than United's top scorer. Vardy and Amad are level on 6, Bruno is on 5.

He's out on loan but technically still a Villa player

That’s crazy, I wonder what his wages are. Just looked him up and he’s contracted until 2026 too. This must rival Jason Sancho in terms of return on investment!

He only cost £17 million though and he was on something like 170K a week

Barca boss Hansi Flick is 60. I swear I thought he was 45 or something. Crazy.

The 2013 league cup final took place at Wembley with 82,000 fans

The finalists were Swansea and Bradford

No reason why this shouldn't be true as such, just a quirky one for fans of long dead Italian mathmeticians.

The list of Premier League winners now forms a Fibonacci sequence.

Blackburn 1
Leicester 1
Liverpool 2
Arsenal 3
Chelsea 5
City 8
United 13

Nice catch, that's really cool.
Sincerely, an accountant.

I like the perfect simplicity of this.

Can we sign Fibonacci?

Much to my surprise, 21 appearances this season.
13 league, 7 Europe, plus 1 more cup game.

Chris Marsden scored a solo goal in the Premier League while looking like it was his second time ever playing football.

Video starts at his goal.

Hahah that run was really comical . Defenders played that like he was a "make a wish" kid making that run.

Since Ruben Amorim's first game in charge (1-1 vs Ipswich on November 24th, 2024), Manchester United have scored only one fewer goal in the Europa League than they have in the Premier League. They've got 27 goals in 23 (1.04 goals per game) in the Premier League but 26 goals in 10 (2.6 goals per game) in the Europa League. Honestly, can easily see us finish with more in the Europa League than the league the way things are going

That's gotta be some of the worst defending I've ever seen.

In his entire career in European football, Brazilian Ronaldo only won one league title and never won the Champions League

RM not defending a league title in 18 or so years and counting.

Tottenham have lost 9 more games then they have won but yet still have a positive goal difference.
