This picture is real.

Romario and Ronaldo started 16 games together in 1997 and scored 31 goals between them. Romario assisted Ronaldo 3 times and Ronaldo assisted Romario 9 times

Why shouldnt this be true? Impressive stats though!

That is surprising, have them at different eras. Bit like Wes Brown coming on for Brian McClair.

Since 1990 Real madrid have only successfully defended the league title once.

Somewhat ironically they did it during their 'weak' era (Van Nistelrooy, Gago, Diarra etc) and never with their two galactico sides - The Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Beckham era nor the Cristiano, Bale, Benzema, Modric era.

Arsenal's biggest ever transfer sale is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool in 2017 for €38m.

Their second biggest sale is Nicolas Anelka to Real Madrid in 1999 for €35m.

The only time Real Madrid successfully defended the league title in the 21st century was in the brief period of time when someone other than Florentino Perez was elected for president.

Romario not getting selected for the 1998 WC remains one of the dumbest decisions in world football.

Would he have settled to been 2nd choice forward, we know how it ended but at the start of the tournament

He wouldn't have been fit for the first few games in any case. Not taking him put all that pressure on Ronaldo's young shoulders. Ridiculous decision then, with hindsight just pure ego games, from both sides I assume.

Drogba was massively overrated because of his goals in finals. If you look back at his Premier League record he had a couple of really bad years.
I'm not sure he is overrated. I don’t think he was seen as a player getting high numbers, but more as one who you could rely on when it matters most.

Drogba’s numbers are inflated by two amazing seasons among a bunch of passable seasons in terms of goalscoring numbers.

Exactly, hardly being overrated when you scored so many important goals

Drogba was more than just goals though. Football is not just about which player scores the most. He was a wonderful target man and a huge reason why Lampard scored so many goals.

Benzema was never the most prolific for Real Madrid, yet he brought a lot to the forward line. Firmino is another one.

You mean that Sky insist on it so that their shoes don't scuff up their green screen?

Well that was on Amazon tonight, but I don't know what it is. Don't think female presenters or pundits wear any specific type of shoe.

I assumed it was a fashion choice for the guys. Been very common for 3 or 4 years now, and if you google 'pundit shoes' there's plenty of results.

Teams like Argentina and Brazil have qualified for next years World Cup comfortably months ago. The WC is less than 10 months away and the likes of Spain and France haven't even played a single qualifying game yet.

I mean, I'd say 354 goals in 648 games, bettering a 1 in 2 record over 14 seasons as pretty darn prolific

An Own Goal Can Still Be the Goal of the Month

Own goals are technically valid goals, and sometimes they’re considered among the most beautiful in a match. In 2015, an own goal by Benoit Assou-Ekotto for Queens Park Rangers was nominated for Goal of the Month.

The Longest Match Ever Played Lasted 3 Hours and 23 Minutes. A match between Reims and Strasbourg in 2013 lasted for over 3 hours due to continuous injuries, delays, and even a lengthy goal review.

Virgil Van Dijk has suffered just 24 league losses in 8 years at Liverpool, with a loss rate of 10%.

Almost as impressive is Ruben Dias who has 15 losses in 5 years which represents a 10.4% loss rate.

He's been there 7 years and lost 3 times at Anfield. There's a narrative on here that he's not very good. He's right up there with the top center backs the Premier League has seen, no matter how much I dislike Liverpool. If he stays fit this season, I'm pretty certain they'll win the league, if he doesn't, I'm pretty sure they won't.

Yeah, he’s one of the greatest.

This is his 9th season with Liverpool - obviously joining half way through 17/18.
