Scotland play Brazil on 24 June, which will be their fifth meeting at a World Cup.

England have only played Brazil four times at a World Cup, the same as Argentina and France.

Scotland have never advanced beyond the first round of the nine World Cups they have qualified for, which may be because they have been drawn to play Brazil in over half of those tournaments.

This reminds me of Nigeria playing Argentina, they end facing us at least 4 or 5 times being beating in all of them at group satges and Nigeria got the best of Argentina in the 90s in a great an Olympic final while Argentina still didn't had a gold medal.

Have you ever wondered how posters here seem to think all the players near 30 are old. And anything beyond that are past it? Legs are gone, "uncle case", etc. and then you remember your age and most likely its above 30 or way above that

Facts about football that makes me sad

We can't be that far from this ending for players who played under Fergie

Who all are currently playing in the PL who also played under SAF?

I can think of only Welbeck? Not sure if Tom Heaton counts, but I don't think he technically played under Fergie anyway.

Anyone else?

Jordon Pickford was not born Jordon Pickford
Jordan Lee Pickford was born Jordan Lee Logan on 7 March 1994 in Washington, Tyne and Wear. His father Lee later changed the family name from Pigford - Jordan Pigford would have been good :D

I presume you got that from the same place I did - Wikipedia.

I can't help but feel pigford is a typo but I want to believe that's what it was for a period.

I wonder why he changed the families name?

Edit;

I googled it and turns it was pigford. His dad changed it because he got bullied for it apparently.

Fair play to his dad really for doing him a favour. Dave Seaman and Dean Windass’s parents could learn a thing or two.
