The only footballer of note I could find who was born on 8th January was David Silva. Does anyone think that a 5-a-side team of Silva, Shirley Bassey, Elvis Presley, David Bowie and Stephen Hawking, with Kim Jong-un as manager, would be a match for a ream of professional footballers?

May 8 - Lucio, Franco Baresi, Andrea Barzagli, Jack Charlton, and Sandro Tonali could make a 5 aside managed by Luis Enrique. Mark Noble was thankfully left out. David Attenborough can be a sub!

Marcelo and Frankie de Jong are the best of a fairly dull bunch.
George Carlin, Tony Hawk and erm, Maddie McCann are a few of the non footballers.

Choupo-Moting and Nick Powell are the most famous active players... No wonder I never made it, seems like my birthdate is cursed. (23 of March)

At least there are some quite good retired ones like Dudek, Walter Samuel and Fernando Hierro.

I think Cláudio Taffarel would be a better choice than Tonali. Bloody strong defence you've got there.

Most famous are probably Alvaro Negredo and Yuri Zhirkov. I was born on the exact same day as Andrew Surman, formerly of Bournemouth. And Stephen Ward is one year older than I am.

Most famous non-footballer is Ali Dia, obviously. I've also got Robert Plant and HP Lovecraft, which is pretty cool.

Happy cool birthday, McCool!!

I'll go with the Z-squad.

Zlatan, Claudio Pizarro and Andrzej Szarmach.

Szarmach in that cool Polish team that I vaguely recall from WC 78, with Szarmach, Zmuda, Lato and Deyna.

I've got 11 players there, but I'd have to play a 2-1-7 formation, I think!

My birthday band fares slightly better.

Drums: Jason Bonham (or Marky Ramone/Artimus Pyle)
Bass: Tarkan Gözübüyük (never heard of him, but he's in a metal band so we'll go with that. Actually, I looked them up, Mezarkabul, I quite like them!)
Guitar: Joe Satriani
Singer: I could have Ian Curtis or Trevor Horn here. I feel like neither of them really fit in with the style of music the rest of the band would play

Or I could have the greatest wrestling tag team of all time: BxB Hulk & Heath Slater, managed by Jesse Ventura.
