My work league has a tenner for highest score of the season. I think it's on about 110 so far. That will be shattered!!
86 with 14 to play and even if they literally all just play and do nothing that'd be higher.
Second highest to me in the league so far has De Bruyne as triple cap v my normal cap. That could be dangerous. Fewer doublers though but some good single gamers

Never put all your eggs in the double gameweek basket. It happens every time. I made sure all my dgw players were players I wanted in for the rest of the games too.
I will wildcard most of my team out. KDB stays and a few others.

Doherty and Alonso are the FPL specialists. Not so great players, but great for FPL as wingbacks.

Filling your squad with doublers rarely works well. Using doublers that you’d want in your team anyway, then putting good players with a single game in the other slots is a much better way to go about it in my opinion.
You still need some cheap picks and having two games is better than 1.
Auba over Rashford/Kane still got more points just from playing.
Two games isn’t better than one if they’re shite picks though. Better to have one game with a decent pick. A lot of people do the former for the sake of having dgw players in, including myself in the past, and it ends up being a waste.

Your sentiments might have some decent logic to them in usual scenarios, but this isn't one.
This is a scenario where you have infinite free transfers, and can combine it to have a proper playing cast of 15 with 4 teams having a double, including some of the biggest hitters in the game, like De Bruyne, Aguero and Auba.
I've just hit 100 this week with Ayew's goal, and that's with Aguero and Auba having done next to nothing, and still have TEN players with fixtures.
Plus a wildcard to sort the team out for the small amount of games left.

I think most picks that people have done for the double have been good picks. Maybe not David Luiz, but a red is still unlucky.

You say that, but even getting injured Leno got 6 points, and Saka got 7. Those would be pretty decent 1 game scores for a keeper and a budget midfielder.

You need some cheapos to facilitate the others. For him and Saka to get 13 between themselves is more than you'd expect in a single. Anything Targett gets v Chelsea is pure bonus.
Half of my team. 3 sheff defenders, kdb, mahrez, aguero. The rest of my team is TAA, salah, Fernandes, dcl, jiminez. Plus Cantwell and Fernandez on bench. Might have paid to have one more doubler. I’d rather have my team than some of those I’ve seen going all in on the double though.
You’ve done ok from it so far but if we’re talking educated gambling, which is what this is all about, I’ll take my non double gameweekers over targett, el ghazi, saka, Leno and even Auba.
Agree I got Nkethia who only got 3 points. Was him or Saka for me and I picked the wrong one.
