Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Exact same spot. I’m thinking Flekken. Shame I can’t afford Martinez for the double

Yes, Martinez would probably have been the pick if I could afford him.

If West Ham didn't Arsenal away in the mix I might have just gone Areola but he does so he's not an option. Would have just been to (hopefully) ensure I have a goalie playing, whichever of him or Fab gets picked and as a guard against the likes of Flekken/Kepa getting injured. Don't want to have to burn yet another transfer in case the worst happened. Even then, West Ham actually had two goalies on the bench last Monday, Fabianski and Foderingham so Foderingham could even be ahead of Fabianski now for all we know in Potter's plans.

Gonna play AM this coming week but need to swap Konate out to do so. I'm looking at konsa ATM as all other villa defenders look to be rotation/not playing 90 mins risk. Does this sound sensible?!

I'm no expert by any means and I'm having a horrible year so take that into account.

However, my thoughts are are that it all depends on whether there's a better option at a similar price or if you're a future planner, which I'm really not, you may need the extra cash on the long run. It's generally better to have more money in the bank, obviously, but you can getting sucked into to making many changes for the sake of saving value. That can be a bit of a trap and detrimental to your overall score. The value of a player who's performing well would be expected to increase in the log run.

In relation to Sarr specifically, there are better performing cheaper options, with more favourable fixtures coming up, and he's also got the blank in GW29, which is probably why he's being transferred out.
All excellent points, your advice/input is greatly appreciated

Is there much point bringing him in?

He's getting about 2 pts a game. He's only gotten something like 2 clean sheets since the end of Oct.
Home vs Ipswich is a 6 pointer for most teams. He's obviously unlikely to return vs Liverpool but you could get lucky with some save points.

Konsa off injured so you might want to hold off on that transfer till the end

With Havertz out for the season and Jesus also out, who plays Central now?
Surely worth a look whoever it is?

Liverpool play a lot of long balls don’t they?

Trossard maybe? One to keep an eye for sure. Flip side is with so many players out they might just be a bit shit.

Really would love a Salah goal in the second half of this.

Would prefer a Salah red card to be honest, even with him captain. Bigger picture.

Arsenal surely can't put in enough wins, let alone without their strikers / central ids masquerading as strikers. But it's surely an OOP player now, which could be a great pick.

Hard to know whether Slot AM is better than Salah TC in the long run... even with 5 wins... on a technicality, sure, since it'd be like 50pts, but there must be other windows where you could have used him for 3 wins

Think I'm already regretting holding that TC... since I can't use it this week either. When's Haalands DGW gonna be!??

Salah TC was definitely the play. But this was supposed to be a couple of hardish aways!

There will be at least two more doubles later in the season. Tc Salah has been rewarding no doubt but we will have to crunch the numbers once Slot's fifth game is done. I think he would have caught up by then.

Ultimately it’ll be very close, neither will trump the other by all that much but it was just too much to turn down getting 5 games from the AM chip. Plenty of great chances to come for the TC chip as well.

Bravo to the Moyes AM picks. Tempted to switch from Slot to Emery..

Was laughing at seeing Jones red card on 102 but stopped laughing with slot.
Anyone know for sure if that's a points job?

And does this actually matter? FPL gonna have to address this one quickly....

Floodgates opening for Emery.

It's already addressed in the rules quite clearly. It's funny but everyone needs to calm down.

You get points for the club result basically. Managers are irrelevant.

The assistant manager chip is linked to the club, it actually doesn't matter who is in charge.

If I had Moyes and he was sacked after the first game of a DGW, I would still get the points for Everton in the second GW, regardless of who is the manager.
