Fantasy Premier League 2024/25

Who are people thinking for the managerial choice for next GW? Just leave it on Slot, even though they have City away?
I think it depends on how many free transfers you have. I have 2 but have issues with needing to get rid of Amad and Ndiaye so I'll probably just leave it on him. City have been pretty poor in big games.

What are plans for the wildcard for those who still have it?

It seems a lot has changed in a short space of time, players that were nailed are looking out of form/injured/GW 29 blank (Isak, Hall, Gordon, Palmer, Amad among others). Tempting to play it soon.

I'll have 3 free transfers left (taking into account a transfer for Amad).

I might change him, though not sure to who as long as I don't get any more injuries.

So these are the potential boost bonus fixtures in next GW.

Leicester (h) vs Brentford
West Ham (a) vs Arsenal
Wolves (a) vs Bournemouth
Ipswich (h) vs Spurs (only if Spurs beat United)
Southampton (h) vs Brighton

None of them look particularly attractive but the bottom three have home games.

Safest best would probably be on Arteta but not sure the it's worth changing Slot to Arteta.

The FPL points feckery this season is quite something.

Had a point taken from Verbruggen last night and a point taken from Watkins tonight. Rashford up to 3 bps now.

Fancy Ipswich to get something at home against Spurs perhaps. Held Villa to a draw with 10 men and won at Soton (I know) last week.

Is Palace (13th) away at Fulham (8th) not one?

The only one I'd be tempted by if it even counts. No confidence in it as such, just strikes me as the kind of match where no result would be much of a surprise. Unpredictable match between 2 mid-table teams, and if I was wanting to take a punt I think that's the one.

Edit: If Villa beat Liverpool they push Fulham down a place.

Rashford delivering on the Coutinho promise I see. Love it. Top punt.

I missed that one but yeah also a good shout (provided Villa don't beat Liverpool).

Sounds like Gakpo might miss Villa as well. If you kept him, who have you got on the bench?
Would be ideal, I'm the only one in my ML who has benched him, while most of the others who started Gakpo have 2 points as their first sub. A 20' sub appearance and 1 pointer from Gakpo would be even better but still

Not sure whether it's worth it to move on from him because of the City and Newcastle games, since we face Soton at home in GW28...

Yeah my original plan was to keep him and TAA right up until the blank just because of that game. I'll keep Watkins for the Chelsea game but he can go for Cunha in 27 now.

Enzo dropping again overnight. Now £4.7m. Only glimmer of hope with him is that he has the 2 best home fixtures you can get in 27/28 so hopefully he will return some points and maybe even go back up before I finally bin him.

Last game of the week tonight. Another Watkins goal would be much appreciated as would an attacking contribution from Trent. Everyone has Salah captain and Rogers so meh to them.

Cunha is on my radar but probably after the Bournemouth game.

Win win tonight, because it'll be Emery bonus points as a consolidation prize if Liverpool doesn't get 3 points.

Just had to be him -_-.. in my team and C and still hurts my rank. So fecking boring

Taking Isak out for Watkins is the first differential call I've got right this season.

Yeah definitely transferring Slot over to Arteta for the final week, Liverpool look very shaky and can see City getting something at least against them.

City themselves look shaky against Real so don’t know what to do. I’ve already done Gordon to Mbuemo so transferring slot would be a -4 for me

Assistant on Moyes last week and now Emery could end up working out really well if it stays like this. Villas dropped points against Ipswich the only downer but possibly 2 bonuses would make up for that.

Tough one if you don’t have a transfer in the bank. I just don’t fancy them at all against City, they’ve looked really poor in the past few games.

That Trent goal will probably save my game week

Slot AM, Flekken on my bench with 10 points (Martine DGW yields 4 points), Delap 2nd on my bench with 8pts so doesn't come in for Amad.

Rogers with 4pts in the DGW and VVD with 2pts.

A pretty average GW.

28 with one game to come from the AM chip really isn’t that bad. Of course it could have been better but ultimately it’s still a very good return which with a win at the weekend will return 38 points potentially or around that. Think people later in the season will struggle to beat that personally so it’s not the failure that some are making out.

Emery just about worked out as the better AM choice than Slot, 14 points to 13. Will probably keep it on him for the weekend too, at home to Chelsea is a good fixture for them.

Ending up with 118 with that Marmoush haul felt like a good feeling to hide the pain of Slot dropping point. But getting 5 games out of him instead of 3 or 4 was a big bonus and that is why I will stick with him for the City game. I have already done Gordon to Mbuemo (as I build towards that GW29) so do not feel the need to risk a -4 to get any other AM. Thankfully my worries with AM are done for the season.
