Fantasy Premier League 2026/27

Why go any Liverpool players at the moment is an even better question. I think there's a few of us who had no idea Szob would be on pens. I thought it would be Isak personally. Have to stick with what you have for the next game against Ipswich and hope it pays off.
I am not even banking on pens. 7 mil midfielder who is main man in their squad. Corners, free kicks, defcons, assist or goal then and there.....imo, bargain for 7 mil. Bloody Anderson is 6.5 mil and gives you only defcons in best case scenario.

Would i pay him 9 or 10 mil? Absolutely not. But for 7 mil he is a bargain.

Raya and Konsa? Cherki?

Wissa and Elanga vs Bournemouth?
hmm against Chelsea? I am looking for defenders with haul potential though, as it's only for 1 week. Muñoz if he starts for Forest. Frimpong is in my considerations too, or just De Cuyper.

Gross is 5.5m for the same thing and guaranteed pens

If KDH goes onto penalties now that Ndiaye has gone then I’d target him.

90 minutes pretty much guaranteed, on most set pieces.
It's not a bad pick, United always seem to concede and also in the area he operates in. Scored last time against us too, if I recall correctly.

Cherki went up again. Guaranteed he blanks and only plays 59 minutes next game. That will cause the mass WC being activated.

Raya
Calafiori Gvardiol Muharemovic
Szoboszlai Bruno Semenyo Foden Tzolis
DCL Isak

Then Bruno to Palmer and Foden to Rogers for GW4, and I think WC for GW5 to get a long-term team in.

Only thing I'm not sure about is benching JP at Arsenal, not because it doesn't make sense but because there'll be loads of people who don't and you easily lose rank on the off chance he scores.

Yeah I'm of exactly the same thought process with Joao Pedro. Keep swapping him and Gomez from Brighton but I think I'll end up playing safe. Hoping triple City attack plus Thiago can get me some differential points next week.

Also thinking the same about wildcard. Will probably bin Gabriel and one of those City mids in GW4 so I can get Palmer alongside Pedro and then look at WC5 or even try and hold off one more week until the International break. Actually could be a good week to free hit (GW5) and target these fixtures where I own none of the home team's players...

Newcastle v Hull
Forest v Coventry
Everton v Ipswich

Wouldn't mind at least a double up on some of those but am unlikely to want to going forward. Midfield including KDH, Bruno and Gibbs White looks spicy. Wissa up front with Haaland etc..

That's actually a great idea, gonna look into that once it comes closer. Only downside I can think of right now is that Newcastle has Coventry away in GW6, so owning Hall/Elanga/Wissa might be interesting a bit more long-term than just on FH. Schedule is AVL (H), PAL (A), EVE H) and FUL (A) after that, so nice run of fixtures if they can gain some momentum.

Definitely one of their defenders on a wildcard (Hall, Thiaw and Dedic all good picks). Wissa has started well and could be on pens but my Newcastle mate just told me they're signing another striker so one to keep an eye on.

Are the league tables updated yet?

Still has the "tables updating" message on both the opening screen and on the tables themselves.

Yet has a "last updated" message of Tue 1 Sep 11.56

"League tables are currently being re-calculated. The table below may still contain old data". Last updated: Tue 1 Sep 13:37 (local time)"

That said, the live updates in classifications is by far and away the biggest improvement they've made in years for me even if they're not final final yet. Having to wait 4 hours on Sunday evening before you got an update was criminal in the year 2026.

122 points all out this week. A successful BB with Ballard CS+DC, and DCL Goal+2BP. Verbruggen and De Cuyper getting 0 hurt but they have high ownership so not the end of the world.

TC3 on Haaland next week, game on.

But the tables not being updated by 1pm the next day feels a huge backwards step

That’s very magnanimous of you

Isak was awful last game, scored a tap in. I don't know if he'll even manage 15 goals without pens.

Very close to rage quitting this bloody game.

My son has piled up 180 points already and I’m languishing dead last in my league with 122.

The person who won the league last year had 38 points after week 1. Not saying you’re going to win it all but you can still finish with a decent top 100k finishing position.

My 13 year old nephew did a BB captained Bruno and bagged 150 points
I wildcarded took Bruno out and bagged 67
I hate this game.

Plenty of time to go.

If you let you moral drop after 2 game weeks then the season is going to be one big grind.

Saying that .. wildcard activated

Seeing as everyone seems to be dropping their scores from this week, 119 for me.

@Dirty Schwein Do what you gotta do

Can't decide between a -4 or a WC and making more wholesale changes.

I want a 2nd City player for the weekend, and then want double Chelsea attack for GW4.

Konsa price drop, Rodon injury, Ndiaye going to City all big issues.

Yeah I want to make the same changes re city and Chelsea. My dilemma is I want to TC Haaland though and can only use one chip

I for one will avoid Foden and Cherki as they will immediately become minutes risk after Coventry with the Ndiaye Transfer.

Went for the less explosive but more secure route and just brought Sangaré and Hall for Tzolis & Rodon. This brings me more security minutes wise until GW6 in which I plan to WC. Also hope for regular Defcon returns from Sangaré.

Plan is to TC Haaland vs Coventry and to do Bruno to Palmer for GW4. Then WC in GW6 as said and decide if I will WC Bruno back or not.

Team for GW3:
Verbruggen
Ajer Maguire Calafiori Hall
Mbeumo Szobo Bruno Sangaré
Pedro Haaland(TC)
Bench: Kinsky DCL Hume Slater

I don't know what I'm doing as I have both, did the Mbeumo > Cherki move on Friday night. Still WC a possibility and if using it will probably be to take one of them out and switch to a Haaland team which I'm currently not on.

Might undo my Calafiori move out with it too, ending up on something a lot more akin to what you've got in general. Not sure keeping Gabriel is worth the price.

Got a lot of numbers to play around with - need to start looking at this season's data trying to incorporate it into thinking. Hardly anything to go on 2 matches in which makes it very unreliable, but at the same time can't ignore it completely if wanting to catch trends. Obviously there's new signings that have already started to look good or bad, players who haven't moved anywhere beginning to look better or worse than last campaign too. Bit of a minefield, and more transfers being made yesterday but can't wait 8 or 10 games in before considering it at all.

Just checking in on on the Everton thread, they didn't get the Balogun deal done or Zirkzee on loan, sold Beto and only have Barry now.

Made a post in their thread yesterday saying that neither Barry nor Beto were too bad on a minutes/goal ratio last season and if Barry now has to play every single minute for them until at least January at this point he could be ok at his price. Just as someone to bring in on the rotation at 5.5m depending on fixtures for those of us not going with fodder. A DCL-type for a little cheaper.

Not sure about pens with no Ndiaye there, that would be a bonus if he got them too. Not like Everton get a lot of pens mind you, but it all helps.

Suppose they might use Tyrique George there at times but other than that it's Barry all the way now for them. Bit of a feck up how they've handled the window. Kind of surprised a newly-promoted side didn't try to get Beto in some ways - Coventry bought Awoyini for £9m and Beto went for about £15m. 9 goals in 1500-odd minutes last season, 8 with similar minutes in 24/25, might have slotted in nicely for a striker on the cheap for a team that needed one.

Edit: Fixtures aren't great, but there's Ipswich (H) in GW5, Hull (A) GW6 and Coventry (H) GW10 further down the line for Barry. A lot of the big-name teams in between, nothing medium. If needing a player for those for specific weeks in particular might be able to work him in. I see he's 76.5% towards a price-rise at this second, looks like others are having similar thoughts.

Yeah no Haaland vs Coventry feels risky as everyone will captain or TC him...I think either FH or WC him in if you started Haaland Less might be the rational play.

Or you just go yolo, risk it without him and watch behind the Sofa haha.

I've hit the WC option. Too many minute risks and players with terrible fixtures. I've future proofed it a bit and obviously I'm not locked in until Friday anyway. Will need to actually pay attention to press conferences this week

Horniness
Konsa Gvardiol De Cuyper
Semenyo Bruno Sangare Wirtz
Pedro Haaland Wissa

Lecomte Gross Davis Amass

Might take Wirtz down to Szbozslai and upgrade De Cuyper, but until Mitoma is back he looks decent. Semenyo to Rogers is a lock for next GW
