Sounds like Konsa is set to start ahead of Mosquera. I'm torn between benching Konsa for Joao Pedro or doubling up on Arsenal defenders and backing them to keep a clean sheet vs Chelsea.
Always tricky with things like that.
I have got Pedro slightly ahead as a points projection for the week in isolation, so do 2 sites I've just took a look at (FPL Review and Solio).
Game theory says Pedro if you agree with that, choosing the individuals who have the best chance of returning points.
But then you know you might not be maximising possible top-end returns depending on what actually does happen. Arsenal clean sheet, should they get one eliminates any chance of Pedro scoring so doubling up at the back probably gives you the higher ceiling from the fixture.
Starting Pedro gives you a higher floor from the match, a Pedro goal or assist wiping out 2 defender's clean sheets at once. Makes it the safer option.
Some people hate the idea of risking double ups or triple ups at the back in that sort of situation, knowing they're walking that tightrope of one goal wiping out more than one cleanie. Playing Pedro spreads that risk.
Others just hate the attacker vs defender thing in general, seeing it almost as a waste as you cannot get a cleanie for Arsenal and an attacking return from Pedro in the same match, you don't know what to hope for essentially if following what's happening. It's horribly confusing.
Suppose there's a chance Calafiori (he is your other Arsenal, right?) gets an attacking return and so does Pedro but that's got be the least likely scenario. More often it's scenarios where Arsenal keep a a cleanie, times where they don't and Pedro returns, and times where they don't and Pedro has no returns.
It's also complicated due to Konsa's historic lack of any sort of defcon or attacking output, or even xG/xA. It's why Calafiori or Gabriel is ahead of Pedro on projections due to perceived attacking threat, but Konsa is behind him. It's a bit like Van Dijk and Konate from Liverpool of last season - (175 points vs 129), there'd have been matches where you might want to start Van Dijk as he has other roads to points, but not Konate even if you had both. You might find a big defcon guy to use ahead of Konate from another fixture even if he had a slighlty lower chance of a clean sheet that week.
