I have a very sneaky feeling Arsenal are going to leak a lot more goals than we were used to.
If you guys had to drop one of Bruno or Haaland who would it be? I am thinking to make my overall team stronger at this stage than invest in both.
Its a bit of gamble, either ways. I would pick Haaland, purely because when he goes off, he can really rake in loads of points every game. But we don't know what Maresca is gonna do. City is free from Pep-ball. So I am thinking they ditch pointless keeping the ball at all time football and will have no shame to punt the ball for Haaland to pick, if things aren't going well.
So, I have a bit more hope in Haaland.
But having said all that, what will be Bruno's role is also a bit of unknown. If the midfield is sorted, and he can play more up, Bruno can be deadly with both goals and assists. Mbeumo looked in decent form in the pre season. So Bruno may find himself once again as the assist king.
tldr, I would pick Haaland if I had to take a punt.
I've decided to drop Haaland... costs just to much. Would be great to have them both, but you have to find those break throughs like Thiago from last season or some player from the previous championship teams that will take the next step... and you'll have to find at least two
Thing is, who are you dropping him for? There's no other £8m+ players I'm that arsed about choosing over the £7m/£8m players. For example, Cunha and Gibbs-White are all in my team alongside Bruno and Haaland - I wouldn't drop Bruno or Haaland just to be able to get say Saka or Palmer in there, and other striker options aren't guaranteed like Isak or Gyokeres

Haaland hasn't featured yet in preseason, I am also thinking of dropping him and maybe doing an early WC once he is upto fitness and seeing his form. Losing Haaland gives me a midfield of Mbuemo, Bruno, Wirtz, Szab, Semenyo and Isak as his replacement which isn't bad at all
This is the thing, the tempting options just aren’t there. Dropping him for an on form Palmer or a fit Saka is one thing, dropping him to I can get Szlobo over Gross or Ndiaye over a 5 million, isn’t really worth it.

I am not convinced on Sunderland GK. Fixtures get rough after first couple, they have injuries doing into the season and their data wasn’t great last season. I would look elsewhere, especially for 5.0. Spurs defensive stats were actually really good after de Zerbi came in and Brighton had the 5th best in the division. I would probably go for one of them and save the moneyZ
I think there are better 4.5s than Kayode too, he isn’t as attacking as people think and data backs that up. I think Rodon/Ajer, even Shaw, would be better to start the season. If you downgrade the keeper, there are a number of really nice 5,0 and you suddenly have a quality rotation option.

Sure Nico is going to start especially with GW 1 you want everyone to play at least 60 mins. Also there are better options than Mitchell and Truffert at their price points for GW 1.

I'm not hardcore and tweak the team all the time based on opposition and so on... I just make a team I hope can get me some points over the season. If someone performs like crap or get injured, then I make changes...

Rogers starts today. I might've had second thoughts if he didn't.
I dont get it. Is an assist 3 points and defcon 2 points? The way I see it, a goal is a long shout as he's quite a defensive winger and would be whipping balls in more than anything else. If he assists its harder to replicate than say, Ajer defcon'ing.
Why isnt Ajer on that list in fact?
I think there’s some sort of better reward system this year for left/right backs, so it’s not just central defenders that gets extra points, but I can remember in what way. Should probably have a check on that.
Why Struijk? Isn't Vuskovic the £5m Brighton defender to go for?
Yeah but if Im not mistaken it still favours defcon. I think bonus points is just easier for attackers because it takes takenons into account or something.

Lot depends on how Bruno does today and the charity shield. I'm thinking about going without Haaland for the first GW and bench boosting so I'm going to spread the money around. He hasn't done anything in preseason yet. I will wildcard once he catches fire and get him back in, I really want to see what this manager does with city before I go in on their assets this season. Isn't he another rotation nightmare? Hopefully a few cheap enablers will have started to show some form by then too to pad out the squad.

Yeah, think Pedro is essential. Coming into the season in red hot form. 2 goals and an assist today.
You get less BPs for clearances, blocks and interceptions this season, which reduces CB chance of BPs. Players no longer lose BPs for getting tackled, which favours FBs/wingers.
