Fantasy Premier League 25/26

Reluctantly just used my two FTs get the two chelsea boys out. Palmer -> Semenyo, Pedro -> Ekitike.

Bench: Kroupi, Eteve, Gudmundson. 0.8 million in the bank.

Don’t love having Semenyo in but couldn’t think of anyone better. Thought of doing Wilson instead of him and then sticking with Haaland, Pedro and Ekitike but starting 5 midfielders has served me well this year.

Have only 1FT. The bolded guys I think are good enough to be replaced for sure (except Kroupi maybe) and I think I don't want both Bruno and Mbeumo, just one of them.

I actually don’t think you NEED a WC. This week you probably want to play Gabriel, Hill and Guehi. I think that is fine. Tark is home to Burnley next week so he can slot in nicely. Chabolah is the sell there, but not urgent with your other 4 options.

Urgent I think is Zuba and Enzo. I would be tempted to take a -4 and bring in two of Rayan/Wilson/Dango. Alternatively, bring in one of those and Thiago for JP and Zubimendi and just play Enzo, but I like JP and think he is Chelsea’s best player, so I am keeping him.

Tark comes in next week for his great fixture and you use the transfer next week to downgrade Chalobah to a cheap Leeds defender (decent fixture in 31). You could probably use that money and whatever is left over to take a punt on Raul for Kroupi then before the WC.

That’s a very good team for the week and allows you more time to see how the double week will land and you can play your WC the week before it (you are already in a good position for 31)
 
JPs last 6 weeks are 8, 12, 10, 8 ,10, 7.

He has Arsenal this week, but Villa, Newcastle and Everton after that. They aren’t bad fixtures for a Chelsea No. 9.

They are much worse than the fixtures he got those points from.

Are they really though? The likes of Leeds, West Ham and even Burnley are fighting for their lives and have had some really good performances recently.

Villa have 2 wins in their last 7, Newcastle have a load of injuries and can’t win away from home. Moyes is Moyes.

I just think he is involved in everything positive they do and fixtures can’t be deceptive, especially at this stage of the season.

They're fighting for their lives because they're shit.

They have been performing better but still conceding goals in most games.

But yes, Villa, Newcastle and Everton are also in bad form but they have the ability to quickly turn that around.

I think i’d -4 and go Joao Pedro for Thiago and then Enzo or Zubimendi to Anderson.

If you just want one transfer and have 0.1 itb then the obvious pick is Anderson for Zubimendi or alternatively Enzo to Anderson and save some for upgrading either Kroupi or Zubimendi. But to me Thiago’s next games are worth a -4 hit imo.

Anderson is just steady. 4-7 points because of his many defcons the last 9 games.

It is of course boring and obvious.
 
So where we at on chip strategy ?

I'm thinking about using WC this week but don't know how many blanks/DGW are expected

I resisted the Arsenal TC last week so still have full set of chips
 
I jumped the gun and sold Joao Pedro for Raul, without doing any background checks first. I totally forgot that Muniz is back from injury, and even thought Raul is the first striker, and on penalties, his minutes will be severely managed now that there is a second striker available. I hope to hear some good news on Wirtz tomorrow, as I brought him in for the easy games, and there is no point in keeping him if he is injured. My other two strikers are DCL and Yeti.
 
I think I am going to go ahead and stick to my guns with Thiago/Brentford/Bournemouth.

I don’t have any of their attackers, so just have to hope Burnley can limit Thiago to one and take it. I feel like, with a two day turnaround, it’s a lottery who will get rested for those teams.

The only one that is bothering me is Harry Wilson against a woeful Spurs. It would involve a hit to bring him in and not sure the ceiling is high enough to make it worthwhile.

Could do Rice to Wilson for the hit and drop Gabriel, but seems like a very low gains move, especially with Chelsea looking rough at set pieces.

Feels like one of them will punish me, but I can rest in the knowledge that I would have chosen the wrong one anyway.

Pedro has been great but replacing him with Ekitike seems like a no brainer with the up and coming fixtures.

I think I will swap Enzo for Brentford's Dango instead of Wilson, Brentford's fixtures seem way better so not sure what the Wilson appeal is.

Captain Bruno for me, although Haaland did seem to be getting better in his last game.

Hmmm, Haaland is the safe pick i suppose, do you stick or twist and protect your ranking or try and push on even further ?

So to answer my own question - seems 2 DGW (one big, one small) and 2 blank weeks are likely

Not so happy with my team but going to keep the WC for the run in

I mean I don't own Wilson but surely his appeal is that he's the 5th highest scoring midfielder at only £5.9m with pretty good fixtures?
 
Yeah captaincy this weekend is a tricky one.

Haaland, Bruno and Thiago all decent options.

I guess for those of us playing catch up we should go for the likely lowest capped of those 3 which will surely be Thiago?

For me personally, Brentford have a decent fixture list for quite a while and as this transfer would most likely be for my 5th choice midfielder, it gives me a great rotation option for most of the season.

Fulham's fixture are ok in the short term but tail off after that for a while.
 
I think I’m going to captain Ekitike. Its tough between him and Bruno but just leaning towards the former.

Edit: going to play it safe and just captain Haaland.

Are you a form or fixtures guy?

If form then keep Pedro and bin Enzo and Bruno G for 2 of Dango, Schade, Rayan, Szob.

If fixtures then bin Pedro for Thiago and Bruno G for one of that other bunch.

I would second @CassiusClaymore . Enzo and Bruno G out and probably Dango and Rayan in. Although I would be tempted on Schade if you fancied it.

Go 3-5-2 with Bowen this week, I don’t think Liverpool are amazing defensively.

You could -4 in Thiago for Bowen and throw the captaincy on him too if you fancied a gamble.
 
Afraid to not cap Haaland, fecker is due a haul.
 
Anyone about fancy Maguire or Rice to start?

I had Maguire in all week because I think Palace will be exhausted after 60 minutes, BUT after hearing that Chelsea are the worst team in the league at defending set pieces, I am thinking Rice?

Probable defcon, potential assist and then he would inevitably be on bonus too? Seems like a higher ceiling and higher floor pick?
 
All week the plan was to do Munoz to VVD and play KDH but decided to do Enzo to Dango and benched KDH.

Cue a VVD haul again.

I would not captain Sesko. He may not even start.

I’ve captained Haaland. Safest move, had it on Ekitike all week but chickened out.
