Fantasy Premier League 25/26

Play Virgil at home to Fulham or play Van Hecke away against Burnley?
Van Dijk has the better attacking threat from set pieces, but I think Brighton are more likely to keep a clean sheet. Van Hecke might be the safer bet, but I would personally gamble on Van Dijk as he has a higher ceiling for points.

That’s my probably choice albeit feels a bit pointless because I assume everyone will be on Haaland with a DGW

Im chasing in my leagues do it might depend how well this week’s’ ‘punt’ goes
Alot of people used their TC on Gabriel a while back so there is still an opportunity for significant gains even if a large majority TC Haaland in GW36.

If only have BB and FH left, I assume I FH 33 and play my normal team for 34.

Would have loved to smash out a BB for 33 though

Thanks, wasn’t sure how to use them myself, thinking of bringing in DGW players this week with the WC.
That's what I was planning to do but went against it because:

1. The team looks weaker this week Vs non WC.
2. With Bruno and Gabriel staying, the BB in GW33 doesn't look that appealing.

But it's a sound strategy for those going for it.

Ive transferred out Gabriel for the one game. The only non-double player im going with is Bruno.

Expensive shift for 1 match - although budget doesn't seem as important this season with a lot of premium players doing feck all

Well ill have him back on a FH and likely bring him back in GW35. You're right in that budget is not really an issue and i have planned ahead to make sure i can bring him back if need. Truth be told im not 100% confident on them getting a clean sheet vs Bournemouth so happy to take him out for a doubling defender in gw 33.

I have 3 City, 3 Arsenal and 2 Liverpool players. I think I’m just going to roll my transfer and do Wirtz to a midfielder with a DGW and possibly even get ektitke out if he blanks this week.

Got all chips left
Doing WC

Current draft
Verbruggen - Darlow
Gabriel - Hecke - O'Reilly - Senesi - Gudmundsson
Palmer - Semenyo - Bruno F - Sarr - Tavernier
Haaland - J.Pedro - Welbeck

Gonna sell Sarr for someone doubling after this round not sure who yet.

Any thoughts, advice or suggestions?

This week gonna bench Darlow, Tavernier, Gudmundsson and Senesi and Captain Bruno

I see lot of Palmer templates. I find it so hard to believe and invest 10.3m in Palmer even with a DGW.
Am I missing something or is there some new found form or position?

Stach being red flagged and Ndiaye yellow is a bit of a pain.

Was hoping to use BB this week seeing as I'm now using FH next week. Still can, but likely need to replace those 2, or at least Stach and gamble on Ndiaye.

Need players with good games this week and who will play with a good fixture in 34 with eyes on the rest of the season too, then run the gauntlet of hoping they don't get injured or suspended before 34 or I might not reach 11 players. The likes of Rice or Szoboszlai. Probably better to just roll through and use the BB later at this point.

38 is Dubravka's only half decent week after this week, would probably have to be then if he's still my backup goalie. Could always yeet him out near the end purely to set up a BB before then I suppose (Darlow v Burnley at home in 35?) or just wait for a final week punt of a BB.

I plan on using free hit for DGW next week (GW 33) as don’t have BB left so no major benefit to using wild card this week. Initial plan was to use Wild card for the DGW and save free hit for the blank GW in GW34. I currently have 6 players (2 are keepers) who will blank in GW 34.

I have one free transfer at the minute. Would I be right in saying if I don’t use it this week and free hit next week when I will 2 free transfers that they will carry over? If I have two free transfers for the blank game week that should be enough to field a starting XI without taking a hit so need to save the free hit for the blank game week if that’s the case.

Edit: You do lose the free transfers. I had Hill on my bench for this week so just transferred him out for Alderete who will have Forest at home in GW34.

Yeah Stach had a shin on too after the game, so not gonna hang onto him. Let’s go fecking Minteh

Just a big teams pen taker on a DGW. Salah/Saka etc… terrible so the money is just sitting there. Might as well!

Read on reddit that Welbeck doesn't play back to back games, weekend and midweek. Does that make DCL a better punt than Welbeck? I am not so sure about DCL's form, while Welbeck seems in form.

But trouble is I already have Verbuggen and Van Hecke and have only 1 more spot for a Brighton player. Choose Welbeck or pick a Brighton midfielder. But then again Brighton has Grob, Mitoma, Minteh, Hinshelwood, Gomez all fit. So its likely they would rotate.

I think Brighton is one of them teams that if you could pick 7 players from them and they won 5 nil, none of your players would return any points.

I feel that with chelsea. Except for Joao Pedro rest are such a huge hit or miss

They're the worst. In addition to what you said, they also will concede 5 to a team but do off-the-line clearances from the attacker you have in the opposing team. Then they will score a last minute conciliation goal to make sure your defender in the opposing team also blanks. So blanks all around. Useless turds.

These could be famous last words, but I can’t believe some of the teams people are putting out this week just to get an extra game from a couple of Leeds/Brighton defenders next week.

People delighted with teams with 5/6 players in the same game, Mitoma, DCL all starting.

Is it really worth having an extra Brighton game vs Chelsea and an extra Bijol fixture?

Not to mention that you are going to have to carry all these bluffers forward after that!

Am I right in saying City have 2x DGWs coming up?

I’m thinking transfer in a couple of the two gamers for GW33 and BB.

Then wild card to transfer most of them out and reset the team.

Then TC Haaland later.

Swear Ndiaye had a yellow flag, looks like it's been removed and after a quick google it looks like he's been training this week. Makes my team selection easier.

Rolling

Raya
Van Hecke, Van Dijk, Gabriel
Bruno (C), Mbeumo, Ndiaye, Dango
Haaland, Thiago, Welbeck

Dubs, Thiaw, Guehi, Stach

If he (Ndiaye) was still flagged might've been a tough call. Him with possible cameo minutes only vs Thiaw dropped last game but cameo minutes more unlikely for central defenders, vs Guehi who I think has slightly less of a clean sheet chance away at Chelsea than Newcastle do at Palace although there's not much in it.

Good luck all!

Edit: Fook, just seeing that Dango was only a sub last time time out for Brentford. Hmmm, might have to change this. Don't really want to move him out though as he plays in 34 and need to keep hold of my guys who have a fixture that week if possible. Even though it's United at Old Trafford at least he has a game. Much more inclined to sell off players who blank then if making any changes.Think I'll just hope he starts this weekend.

Stach > Anderson on the cards though, few minues to decide. Stach blanking in 34, is injured now. Anderson with Villa home this week, Sunderland away in 34 although he's largely fixture proof with what he brings anyway. Defcon 4 point merchant, doesn't really matter who he plays against. Problem is that he's 0.8m more than Stach and I don't know if that's worth it. Might be better making other changes for someone more of a goal threat.

Yet another edit: Brought in Le Fee for Stach and am starting him over Dango. Risky as he only played 5 minutes last GW and zero the match before. Don't even know if he's been injured or what, no time to look it up. Risky panic decision with no thought put into it. Probably an awful choice, small chance of it being genius. Expected to start though from what I can gather. Spurs (H) this week, Forest (H) in 34, only 4.9m. Let's go!

I brought in Bowen for Ekitike just to have some skin in the game tonight. I want to feel something again.

Bruno captain, good team with 11 playing in GW34, FH next week. We’ll see for GW35 onwards after that. I’m definitely not jealous at the people WC’ing this week for those players on a DGW next week.

No, a defender got a head on the corner before the lad scored.
Has been given as an assist.
Three assists!
Annoyingly Traore should have scored when through on goal for a 4th assist!

Add In hitting the post earlier and he could have had an all timer score.
