Fantasy Premier League 25/26

Has been given as an assist.
Three assists!
Annoyingly Traore should have scored when through on goal for a 4th assist!

Add In hitting the post earlier and he could have had an all timer score.

Well well well. Maybe it was classed as a deflection off the defender but I was sure he headed it. Would have been a good idea to bring Bowen in for Enzo but I didn't do that.

EDIT: Bowen's a forward. Nm

I brought in Bowen for Ekitike just to have some skin the game tonight. I want to feel something again.

Bruno captain, good team with 11 playing in GW34, FH next week. We’ll see for GW35 onwards after that. I’m definitely not jealous at the people WC’ing this week for those players on a DGW next week.
Average FPL player: thinking about bringing a player, watching at fixtures, looking at points, form etc.........2 points

RobinLFC: "I don't have anyone for tonight's game. " 14 points

I had my captaincy oh him for 3 weeks. Chickened out today. Will take a 14 pointer, when I'm the only one in my paid mini league that has him.

Congrats to those who got that right. I just didn’t fancy it because he hadn’t really hauled all season. I can only blame myself at home to Wolves. Uphill battle from the start of the GW now!

Well ill have him back on a FH and likely bring him back in GW35. You're right in that budget is not really an issue and i have planned ahead to make sure i can bring him back if need. Truth be told im not 100% confident on them getting a clean sheet vs Bournemouth so happy to take him out for a doubling defender in gw 33.

(Now watch him score )

feckin Arsenal bottlers. Raya and Gab cleanie gone after 17 mins.
Was tempted to ship Raya off for a doubling keeper for the BB next week, but thought H v Bournemouth was a silly time to do it. Doh.
Similar probably silly logic saw me keep Dalot H v Leeds.

Some players definitely get more allowance from the ref before getting yellows.
Gabriel lunging through the Bournemouth defender should have been one. It's irrelevant that he was trying to win the ball, or that it's in the other box.

Whoever said taking out single fixture week 33 Thiago wasn't wise was spot on!

Glad to have Tiago but kept Ekitike instead of bringing Bowen, darn it! Can’t see him eclipsing 14 points.

Thank feck I ignored the WC32 strategy. Bowen, Thiago, KDH (and maybe Gabriel) would have got the boot and I would have rage quit the game.

I think Brighton is one of them teams that if you could pick 7 players from them and they won 5 nil, none of your players would return any points.
When you have 3 BHA and Weiffer hauls

And I even went for Minteh over Gross

I do not have a wild card so will use my free hit for 33.

I also have Thiago and brought in Bowen for Ekitike so this week might turn out to be a nice buffer going into GW33, fingers crossed.

I suppose I will just have to hope the damage is not too great with the bench boosting doublers next GW.

Didn't realise I still had Dubravka selected as goalie from last time out when Arsenal had a blank gameweek as it had been so long and he outscored Raya. Only by a point, but funny. Would have been fuming if Arsenal had kept a clean sheet.

Van Hecke 5, Gabriel 4 pointer, Thiago 13 yay! Ndiaye and Welbeck doing nothing, boo!

Brilliant! A welcome stroke of good fortune. The Bowen and KDH hauls are welcome. I’ve KDH on the bench, feck!

WC32 strategy quite good so far tbf.

Brighton clean sheet for most who doubled on their defence. Gross 6 pointer. Quite a few sensibly kept Thiago or went Bowen too. It’s worked out very well so far. 32 from 5 players for me so far. It’s gonna come down to the City/Chelsea game now. Set up quite nicely for the bench boost next weekend though, Brighton performance has started the WC really well.

Fair play though if you’ve got Bowen and Thiago though. Kept Thiago for this week and will probably move him to DCL for the double.

First and very welcome clean sheet for Van Dijk in 4 weeks since owning him. Defcon and a bonus point too. Been crap since I brought him in after scoring 35 points in the 3 weeks before I got him.

Need to make a gap this week on those who wildcarded and will have 13-15 doublers next week on bench boost if possible, where I'll only have 11 on free hit. Sitting on a +8 green arrow as things stand (37 points), but only 4 players including captain Bruno left. Not sure I'll be making much of a gap in the end.

Suppose things can work out on the back end of the DGW for me too, if some people have focused too much on the doublers for their wildcard, and who are not very good assets for the rest of the season. Might be a a few who screwed themselves over with that without many transfers to fix it.

Gents, I need your pearls of wisdom, please.

I have my FH, BB and TC left.

I’ve 3 FTs but don’t like the look of my team for DGW33. I wonder should I FT for it but then it could be a glorious opportunity for a BB but I don’t have enough doublers in my team.

I can make 4 transfers (3 FT and a -4)

Bus team
Dubravka
Virgil Gabriel Hill
Palmer Bruno Wilson Semenyo
Haaland (C) Thiago Ekitike

Bench
Martinez Thiaw KDH Dalot

£0.0 ITB

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Feeling smug about the OReilly switch on the wildcard...until Guehi who I had before scored straight after.

I have 5 players in this game. Only Guehi delivered. Didn't expect much from Sanchez and Pedro, but Semenyo and Haaland doing nothing hurts.

I think this is a stupid question but I read something the other day that made me question it in my own head.

The players you have on your bench when you play the bench boost chip are ultimately irrelevant, aren’t they????

Ultimately, the only player that makes a difference is your captain. Right?

Sorry for the stupid question

Yes. Doesn't matter who you put in the XI apart from captain and vice captain if using bench boost.

Some might even put their worst perceived players in the starting lineup for fun, making someone like Dubravka their starting 'keeper.

Kelleher, Dubravka
Mukiele, Munoz, Guehi, Saliba, Hill
KDH, Gakpo, Bruno, Semenyo, Rice
Kroupi, Haaland, Thiago

This is my current team. Aside from benching Bournemouth players for Arsenal players, this team did very well for this round of fixtures.

Is it worth dumping anyone for the doubles next weekend and bench boost or triple captain? No WC or FH. Already used them both.

It’s the move Ive made.

Ive got one more free transfer to get another doubler in - I’ll wait to see on OReily first though
Yeah this is the situation I'm in. If O Reilly is out I may have to either WC or take a -4 to change him and get Haaland in, as I just can't risk the double without Haaland.

Leaves Mbeumo and Dalot in wildcard because of tonight....

Obviously inevitably that both are benched.

Really really needed Mbeumo and Dalot to start today

When is the City v Palace game likely to be played?

Palace likely through but are they waiting for tomorrow night's result before confirming?

Thinking Haaland tc is a gamble this week so might wait.

GW36, midweek after City play Brentford is projected but there must be a chance it will be earlier or they'd have just confirmed it by now. Waiting for Palace like you said.

GW33 - City doubling v Arsenal and Burnley
GW34 - City blank on the weekend (FA Cup semi)/Conference League SF midweek for Palace if going through
GW35 - City v Everton at the weekend/Conference League SF 2nd leg potential in midweek for Palace
GW36 - City v Brentford weekend, free midweek for everyone involved
GW37 - City playing Bournemouth or the FA Cup final at the weekend/potentially playing Bournemouth midweek instead
GW 38 - N/A, no midweek matches allowed, everyone has to play their last fixture at the same time

I think it’s so hard to know. In my head the likes of Enzo and Calvert-Lewin make sense, but then I think about how many 2 pointers they serve up. Calvert-Lewin is just a terrible finisher, but home to Wolves is such a good fixtureS

I am seriously considering going with 5 CBs. All that defcon, possible clean sheets, possible bonuses and even a goal return to two, just seems like a much higher floor.

I think I am going 5-4-1
