I know I've got a Women's Euros Competition on the go, but we may as well have a Fantasy Football one as well.

For those who played in the last Fantasy league, your App should have updated automatically to the WEURO competition.

Log in, pick your team, then join the mini-league, which is called, imaginatively, TheCaf.

The code to join TheCaf is: 3EEG983

If you did not play the Women's Fantasy Football League this season, but would like to play this Euros one, then you will need to download the App. @jojojo is good at providing.links, so I'm sure everything you need will appear on this thread soon, as if by magic.

I tried creating a team yesterday. It was a disaster - I didn't even recognise all the shirts and flags. Oh well, there's time!

I've just read all the rules, which helps!

The game starts off the same as the normal Fantasy Football - £100m to spend on 15 players with a maximum of  three players from each nation. That applies to the Group stage and the Quarter Finals.

For the Semi Finals You are allowed  four players from each nation.

For the final you can select up to eight players from each nation.

Transfers - For the Group stage and Quarters you can make two free transfers each gameweek. Additional transfers incur a -4 point penalty

However, in the later stages you can make additional transfers without incurring any deduction in points if you have players from a nation that has been eliminated.

The Visionary rule still applies - an extra 3 points if one or more of your players is selected by less than 2% of participants.
 
I'm in, Amazing Grace! Used my three England spots to select Maya, Ella and Grace of course, plus found space for Dom and Teri too. All about United even when the internationals are on!

Maya is a bargain at £4m - but will she get to play? Even Toone will probably be on the bench more often than not, I feel. I do have Clinton because I think she's a guaranteed starter.
 
I'm not getting any joy out of the app at the moment. It responds to the first button I press after that none of the links are active and the page just sits there trying to load. I did once get up a formation page with the team I assembled last week, but the buttons were dead.

I've tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling - it didn't help. I'll try again via the website later :confused:

When I first tried it kept sending me back a couple of pages to the "What country do you support?" bit. I persevered and it eventually worked. Amarillo Mike and Scanny are both in, so it does work, but there clearly are some glitches.

P.S. Time to upgrade your Nokia 3310?

I suffered the same glitch, but got there in the end.

Fortunately it was an error with their Nations League squad not their Euros squad :lol:

It did make me wonder how often it must happen though - classic database search slip up.

I'm thinking that it probably doesn't happen often, at least in most countries, because it's relatively rare to have multiple players with the same surname in the squad at a given time. However, there are probably nations where there's a greater probability because certain surnames are very common. Just for kicks I just looked up the South Korean team and saw that they had 6 players named "Kim" on their WC 2023 roster -- and two of them were goalkeepers (!). But then, this is probably a common issue in those countries, so they probably know that they have to be especially careful about such things.
 
The whole thing reminds me of Mike Bassett calling up Benson and Hedges to the England squad! Classic film that!

Yep. But when I started editing I could see the players and select them but not save them. When I returned my choices were there but no buttons were active and I couldn't select any players. Like I just had a picture of a screen not a screen. Anyway, will try it from the laptop - it's like something got stuck mid-operation right now so maybe that will shake it.

Mine glitched repeatedly to the point I quit the app and decided I’d come back to it.
When I did come back to it, it had actually saved my team without me knowing it had.
 
The entire game is relatively new, and the Euros one brand new, so I expect there to be glitches. All four of us have had issues, but I am sure it will settle down.

I have my squad selected, but have zero confidence. They are all good players, but will they play? France and England in the same group certainly doesn't help matters. And I've realised that I do not know enough about Germany.

I think Germany is a mystery. I know they're a good team but I really don't know the players. Oberdorf and Popp are the ones I remember best from the Euros, but Popp's retired and Oberdorf is still recovering from an ACL injury.

I know Nusken is good but only because I've seen her play well for Chelsea. That's the thing I guess - most of the players play in Germany and most of us would only notice them in the odd CL match or international.

I'm more dependant on the FF valuation giving me a starting point than ever!
 
I think I have more or less settled on my players now. Three Spanish, three German, three English, two Dutch, a Norwegian, a Swede and a couple of others. I figure I don't fancy the French.

Ewa Pajor is obviously quality, but will Poland do well?
