The second consecutive season in which they have been thrashed at St. James’ Park. The fact that we probably won’t finish above them infuriates me.
I’m pretty sure Villa will though so they’ll be playing Europa League with Probably Newcastle or us ?

It doesn’t matter that they got humped again. What matters is we can see a clear style of attack as they’re getting humped by playing into the oppostion’s hands

New year, new manager, 250 mn+ spent on new players, same old Tottenham.

Most overhyped team and manager. Can't believe there were people claiming that Tottenham's first team were better than Arsenal's at the beginning of the season.

Its interesting that some fans on Fighting cock are starting to turn on Ange and his naivety when it comes to approaching games.

We've gotten worse and worse as the season's gone on. :(

Ange made a huge mistake starting Bissouma over Hojberg today imo. We were so easy to play through. We saw last week that we had so much more control when Hojberg game on for Bissouma at half time, but he went straight back to what didn't work, this time in a much tougher game and we got punished.

We're playing with 10 men in their half and 8 players well ahead of the ball and then we're sloppy in possession and so easy to play through. It's absolute insanity.

Is that what people said? Or did you misread them saying Ange's first season is better than Arteta's first and possibly second season.

Obviously bad, now Newcastle have overatken us
Not really we can now free fall out of top 7, finish 8th or 9th then no European football and finally a complete reset, to think if we had picked up 7 points rather than 2 in last three games, we would be very much in the fight for CL, ETH is the luckiest coach alive but he’s not wining the last 7 PL games which is what it would take, after tonight the conversation will be finally over!

Ange is still great for Spurs. He's done so well with the players he has. Overachieved, he'll still make top 4. Newcastle away is hard for any team. So many stupid kneejerk reactions here. Have some respect for Ange.

He will get ripped apart in the CL playing the way he does. A half competent United would have beaten them out for CL. I think they are in for real pain next season.

In all honesty just realised Spurs have very difficult fixtures for the reminder of the season. Even top 5 might be challenging.

His Celtic side were an embarrassment in Europe because of this. It’s all well and good being stubborn about your attacking philosophy when it’s the league and your side is better than every other side and you have more financial power. But doing it in a league where there are several stronger sides, and doing it in Europe where there are also several stronger sides? Well it’s just stupid, no idea why some seem to find that admirable or brave. Football is a results business, it’s horses for courses, not sticking by one system just cause.

I think there will be some absolute hidings in store and he will just bull on. I don’t think it’s admirable either. They were easier to play through today than us and that’s saying something. Real quality will pick them apart.

I know, it’s been such a long time, but it would have been so easy this year. Just completely fluffed it.

It´s the same United fans that complain that their club does not have a recognisable way of playing, but when Tottenham always play their style (and it´s just Ange´s first year) they say it´s dumb and he´s a poor manager. Klopp did the same and shipped a lot of goals in their first season, cause Alejandro Moreno does not understand positional play or an offside trap to save his life. So instead of changing the system, Klopp changed the players. I´m sure Ange will find a more pragmatic tactical approach evenually, but first you want the philosophy drilled into your players.

United fans are idiots. They want high press possession football but they also want Bruno and Rashford. Someone on defenders thread said they prefer Maguire over Varane.

Everyone is just too immersed in sentimentality and romanticism that they can't call spade a spade. They constantly back perennial underperformers hoping they will come good once in a decade. Guess what? That's the amount of successful seasons we had since Fergie.
