Very talented manager with huge attitude problems.
He will do well for the rest of season.

how young are you all that you don't know igor tudor?

It´s right out of the leftfield. Probably should have gone with Robbie Keane as he has a genuine connection to the club and would be highly motivated to do well there. I know Keane was not interested in being a bench warmer, but they could have offered him assurances if he achieved a particular level results wise.

Sherwood as well. He´s been out of the game for a while and he fell out with the board, but he has a good record as Spurs manager.

There´s probably a bunch of better options out there.

It is not just about not remembering him as a player, he had a very good managerial career in Italy. Sure, didnt last long at Juventus, but that job is a bit of a poisoned chalice.

I am surprised he took an interim position. Surely he fancies it long term.

He didnt retire to an olive grove somewhere? Have the odds shifted on Spurs going down after this appointment?

Will have to wait and see, but it's not like he's got a great CV - they're in big Sam territory or Harry Redknapp - not trying out a PL Newbie.

Come to think of it, who is the new version of Sam, Harry or Hodgson? Moyes maybe?

Spurs are spot on here.

They looked at the job Ivan Juric did at Southampton last season and decided to find their own Croatian who had recently been fired by a Serie A club. Nobody is going to be laughing when they win the Championship next season!

Your last sentence is at odds with the diabolical options you suggested instead of him

Bigest EPL lie was that Spurs are big team. When the novelty of the new stadium fade away they will be back to mediocrity.

Sherwood had a decent record in the EPL, tbf.

And it´s actually the highest of any Spurs manager, which may not be saying much, but there you go.

This just makes me believe that football managers are pretty much just some kind of placebo effect and we should really stop bothering about them.

Interesting point. Should the manger be a vibes guy and then the real talent is the background staff and coaches?

Pretty strange. Plays crazy man to man marking all over the pitch and likes to put players in strange positions. All that mostly in a back 3 formation. Stubborn as well. In terms of style there are some similarities with Amorim and some with Bielsa. When he came to Marseille he often benched Payet who was their best player as he doesn't run enough. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

Hopefully it goes to the Championship.

I think he'll do well there.

Based on nothing apart from the fact most of the Caf think he'll do badly and relegate them.

Loved him as a player, although he had Hajduk background was my favorite player for some time, but as a coach there's not much to write about, stubborn as hell.
