I don't think Jesus is the answer. We need someone who isn't afraid of crosses.

Ooh the link to Jesus is coming haha... The press use this website as a reliable source!

No links to him so far it was just a player who was recommended on a previous page that's all.

Said a couple of times over the summer that I don't think we've heard the last of the Anderson for this window. I'd still be far from surprised if something happened in the next few days. I doubt he is first choice, but I think there is a real interest.

As for Gabriel, I caught bits while looking out for Andreas at the WC. Looks very talented for sure.

If we talk about felipe anderson, i do not think he will be first or second choice on van gaal's list of players. Van gaal always loves his inside forwards , playerrs who cut inside with pace and make passes and shots. Like robben , depay . Felipe anderson is like valencia he lovesto go on outside and is not a playmaker but a more of a winger. I dont think he is the kind who will suit our system. I love his pace, his power he will be a good player, but our system requires specialist and i dont see a space here.
He's nothing like Valencia, he's basically Nani MK 2.

Why don't you think the links with Anderson are over? I've not seen any links to him for a while now mate. I'd be very very surprised if this was who we signed before the transfer deadline.

Just because I don't think the links were fabricated that's all. I believe, based on things I've read in a few places and from a few people, that he is definitely a player of interest. It is obvious we have tried to land a whale, but time is running out and we look no closer to that. As we've fumbled around the £100m players, I've just always felt that when it is all said, this is one we will re-visit.

Gabriel Jesus scored twice tonight for Palmeiras.. Im telling you, get him while hes still a teenager and before some marketing agency sign him and turn him into an expensive player
With the talent he seems to have, why isn't he already signed up?

Could you make a thread for him in the Football Forum and keep us updated? Seems like a very interesting player.

Can he pass? How many positions can he play? I saw in the videos: #10 (primarily), #9 and #11 on his back.. so AM/SS, CF and LOM/LW? What are his weaknesses thus far?

Affects his team mates badly, because when they have the ball and need to make a decision they keep wondering what he would do.

Also can cause a problem as he occasionally turns around when a player shouts out when they've made a mistake.

Fair enough... I've not seen any links for a while but then I'm not looking very hard to be honest. I'd be surprised if LVG was to move for him though. Reason being I think LVG wants a proven match winner. He wants someone in the mould of Bale or Neymar which of course he's not going to get. In a way Anderson is a bit like Memphis... Bags of talent and potential but is young and will fade in and out of games.

The impression I'm getting from Memphis so far is that when we play well he looks brilliant but if we struggle he does too. He's still young of course and that's a trait of we young player but I've not yet seen a player who's ready to take games on and win them.

He's got ridiculous pace. I think right now he's one of the fastest players in the world.

And how he is with a ball? Good dribler or not? End product?
Personally I think he is more Bale than Hazard in terms of dribbling. If we were to sign him I'd say it would be high risk, high reward really. But we deserve to get lucky and one of these big attacking imports to work frankly. But it would be no guarantee.

He does have the potential to be one of the very best though, but doesn't have the most special close control dribbling per se.

From everything I've read about him (mainly on here tbf) we could do a lot LOT better.

He sounds like a speed merchant, and that's about it.

He is a frustrating player. I remember a game last year against Juve were some posters said he was good and others were disappointed. I was disappointed. Very inconsistent, reminds me of Nani in that sense. On his day unbeatable though. I would have reservations about him and adapting not just to the league, but also to LvG's demands.

From what I've seen and heard, he wouldn't really be what we need when our main issue is breaking down deep defences.

He'd be great in our counter-attacking teams of old.

Whilst I wasn't exactly a Nani fan at the end, he was on his day unplayable, its just that he never took that next step up in level for me. I believe Anderson is only 22? So plenty of scope/time to improve?

I've never seen him play though

Seems like a panic buy. How is he so different from Nani. His best position is the same one Memphis occupies. I hope this isnt true. We need an established world class talent who naturally likes to play on the right.

Maybe it isn't smart to buy a player who only had one good season in the Serie A, then again it might be.

If LvG think he fits here then i i'm all for it, seems like he wants a pacy winger for his project here.

He got 6 goals and 5 assists from the right wing in 6 apps there, don't know if that is an indication that he is good there though.

And who linked us with him. Only tuttomercatoweb or something like that? Any other reports?

ive seen him play quite a bit since last year, his preferred position is on the left though yes he can play on the right as well. his decision making doesnt seem to be any better than nanis either. if anyone, from lazio, i would get keita.

Nani is 28, has likely peaked in talent.

Anderson is 22 so has many years to improve. Will he? That's LvG's call I guess.

tuttomercatoweb are unreliable if i remember correctly? As long as Di Marzio isnt on the case, i dont believe this rumour.
