I think people who make FIFA don’t actually watch football and look at Twitter and their own game to judge ratings.

I actually don’t know to be honest but I wouldn’t be surprised. Though 78 rating is a joke.
Nah I think he does have a scan, remember seeing it in a vid somewhere. 78 rating would be pathetic if true though.

The ratings don’t really make sense but then again they haven’t for a a long long tim. I don’t pay attention to them, to be honest, as I prefer to make my own adjustments; if I’m playing career mode, which I rarely do.

Ultimate Team is what keeps me coming back, ultimately, despite the skulduggery of EA and their monetisation of the game.

Yeah I'm the same. I edit the ratings myself before starting a career mode.

Yeah I only said it cause I remember @Solius was pissed last year about Greenwood. Just wanted a quick wind up.

On a side note, I will be just happy if they fix the boot bug where players wear generic boots. It’s annoying as feck and has happened to me the past couple of FIFA’s.

You actually made me quite annoyed  Had some life-based annoyances in the last 24-48 hours so I'm already at a high level of irritation.

Sorry.
Hey, at least you’re levelling out now in knowing he’s got a real face and you’ll be able to enjoy him in the career mode.

Don’t we - the club - have a deal with PES now? It could factor into FIFA’s ratings a bit. We definitely won’t have any of our players on the front covers (in contrast to say Joao Felix who is 83, Trent who is 87 etc.)…

Edit: I think Ronaldo also got a -2 to his overall this season. And Fernandes being lower than some of the players who are 90/89:eek:

Yeah that 100% factors into it, they couldn't have say Ronaldo the highest rated player in the game yet he'll be advertised to the hilt by Konami/PES.

This is 100% the reason. Scanned faces will likely be slowed like what has been witnessed with Juventus too.

Greenwood being 78 rated has to be incorrect. I simply cannot buy that they’d be that stupid.

Realistically he’d be 85+ but I can accept 83 minimum as he will improve fast on career mode

Apparently Greenwood is rated 78 again whilst Foden is 84 and Saka is 83. Absolute joke if true. Greenwood didn’t have a face in the last game ffs.
We allready have Ronaldo at 91... If Saka gets 83.... Greenwood 78... Hope its false

81 would be more realistic I'd say.

78 is ridiculous but hopefully he's at least got some good in game stats.

If Saka is 83, then Greenwood should be higher.

Not that Saka is a bad player, but it’s ridiculous to compare him to Greenwood, let alone being higher rated. It seems he’s just got stats for people finding him likeable.

Saka for me would be about 77 and Greenwood 85-89

Nah that's too high for him I think.

Greenwood as 83 would be good. Remember he still only got 7 PL goals last season which is less than the likes of Benteke and El-Ghazi. His potential should be around 90 though.

So EA thinks that of the 22 best footballers on the planet, 7 of them are goalkeepers?

Don't know why anyone bothers delving into their ratings.

They dont rate on ability they rate based on UT price algorithms.

Players are basically rated only relative to others in their club. That's why Saka, Arsenal's best player, is 83 and Greenwood is only 78 because there are plenty of more marketable players at United. All about maximising revenue from UT.

I think 81 would have been fair. He’s been a household name now for 3 seasons and he’s gradually improved. Although he did find the start of last season difficult, he finished it on a high. For me 81 would have been fair. He’s got the 5* weak foot at well so that’s really handy.

Yeah I think 81 would have been about right, and Saka should probably be an 82. He did well at the euros otherwise I'd have them level.

It’s to dilute the ultimate team packs. By having lots of pointlessly high rated goalkeepers, your chances of getting 88+ rated players from packs is increased.

Looking forward to playing this game again. I'm not doing UT much this year. Gonna focus more on Pro clubs this time. Much more fun.

EA Play is on offer at 79p for one month if anyone wants the 10 hours advanced play from this Wednesday
Doesn't it also come with the Ultimate Edition?

I did a bit of a thing to get it cheaper. I got PS store money from cdkeys for less than the monetary value as usual, then I used the EA Play £3 subscription to get £10 off and then also bought the game via the in-game FIFA 21 menu which gave another 10% off. I bought the regular version using that and then cancelled the pre-order a few days ago to get the full game price refunded to me. Then I used the EA Play subscription again to get £10 and just spent an extra £5 to top it up.

Means I can play my best mate for another year because he refuses to shell out on a PS5.

Any changes in the gameplay this time or is it just the previous version with a rating update? Skipped FIFA21 and just want to know if this one is worth buying?
Hasn't been a FIFA worth buying for a long long time.

It's a terrible game made to cream money out of idiots stupid enough buy ultimate team packs to play online.

And to rinse more money out of these sorry saps they wont even let people with the ps4 version play with their mates on a ps5 version.

Thankfully, I'm well past all that. I play PES online occasionally against a few people I know, more for a bit of fun than anything else.

It'll be interesting to see how konami do with the efootball and the cross platform gaming. Although I am fairly sure there will be plenty of gouging of online users on it.

At least with PES. You spend 20 quid on players and end up with a full on team with Messi and Ronaldo and legends like it's nothing. Probably take about 10 grand just to get either one

I know it's all geared towards spending = good players = higher rankings. But, the games seem designed to make sure you have to spend on player packs to achieve even mediocre success on it.

I went into that myclub thing once or twice and played a few games. I didn't like it at all.

Probably didn't help that I lost every game against ridiculously stacked teams who were clearly after spending loads on player packs. Then can still only play by continously spamming 1/2s through the middle and using all the assisted AI controls (you can always tell).

You can download the game from 6pm tomorrow and have 10 hours play before your Ultimate Edition release Sunday night (?).
6 pm tomorrow? That’s a bit of a shame. Thought it would have been from 00:00. Ah well, thanks anyway.

Also, @Solius

Is there way to play it any earlier like tomorrow morning maybe? Could I possibly change my location to Australia or something?
