ITALIAN international Stefano Fiore has been linked with a move to England and the player's agent has confirmed that he is aware of interest from Manchester United and Leeds, but a move to another Serie A club looks the most likely option.
The 26-year-old has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities since his permanent switch to Stadio Olimpico in the summer.
Fiore first joined Lazio, in 1999, but spent the whole of the season on loan at his former club Udinese. However, he is now ready to leave the Rome outfit in order to find regular first team football and cement his place Italy's World Cup squad.
His place in the team is currently occupied by Karel Poborksy, with Gaizka Mendieta also challenging - and meaning that the Italian international's first team opportunities have been sporadic.
A move to England has been mooted in the Italian media and his agent Federico Pastorello has now confirmed that he has heard talk of Premiership interest.
"I heard something regarding Manchester United and Leeds, but at the moment the clubs are yet to call me," said Passerello in an exclusive interview with planetfootball.com.
"I have taken notes about all the rumours regarding English clubs, but there is nothing official yet.
"The situation with Lazio is that it is not very good at the moment and it is clear he would love the opportunity to play more than he has, with the World Cup coming up."
Pastorello revealed, however, that Juventus and Parma were already in talks to sign his client.
"It is hard for him, but in Italy - Juventus and Parma are both interested and they are negotiating with Lazio, and to repeat I have heard about Manchester United and Leeds, nobody has called me directly but I have been told there are voices in England.
"I think he would accept a move to England, it is clearly dependent on which club as he is a top-class player and so he would only go to a top-club, but Leeds and Manchester are both major teams.
"Parma want to take him straight away, but much depends on Lazio, if he cannot move this month then he will be looking to move at the end of the season."
