Overall we ran less than most teams. For example we ran a little under 105km but about 6km more than PSG. Ajax ran 119km and Liverpool 117.7km. A noticeable difference. Much of the running stat is however relevant to the match itself. The important part is that we run more than the opponent but I wonder the performance but have suffered if we had to run on average 1km more per player.

Running stats are incredible difficult to read! You can be a low division team with the best running stats in the world chasing the ball. You can be the champions league winner with the lowest keeping it. Same goes for players. Where do your team keep or chase the ball. Do you have space in that format to work the miles or do you not.
It has to be in some kind of context, or else it’s meaningless.

Lack of fitness doesn't explain Shaw leaving his position to hug Kane.

You can say fitness may influence on the later time of the game. But we were totally outplayed by Spurs in the first half. Only 45 minutes into the game.

Very good points, sir.
