Florian Wirtz | Der Fußballgott | Der Fluch ist gebrochen!

For Man Utd? Why, what's the relevance here? If anything it might benefit us in shifting a player or 2

Well you have to understand. Utd have become famous for being a club who pay insane money for players who end up proving not to be worth it.

Liverpool are trying to knock us off our perch in that regard :(

I mean they spent nothing last year and won the league. So they can spend in theory two years' worth, although this would be a huge chunk of that.

Would like to see what the media makes of this though after some of the uproar for the other 100m+ players.

Good point, worst case at least half of it.
£700million season 24/25, at least £750mill next season if things go their way, selling Salah to the retirement league will only allow to strengthen even more well within PSR.

Spare a thought for Leverkusen fans, Ten Hag is going to go HAM signing shite with that money. Hopefully picks up a few of our duds.

After the success he had with United signing Ajax players or his former players, they wont allow him to buy anything from United, not even Bruno Fernandes.

We paid €105 million for Pogba over 9 years ago, so paying €150 million for one of the best players in the world 10 years later seems about right.
He is 22. Liverpool is consistently playing in CL and have the money. It is just Liverpool's turn this year for a Rice(Arsenal) and Enzo(Chelsea) big signing.

And even more importantly, physicality doesn't even help you that much. If you rush at an opponent who has the ball, you give away the space you vacate while doing so and if he has easy passing options, that is quickly exploited and all your physicality earns you nothing. That is the reason why across all top leagues, the players tend to be less physical the higher you move up the table. They still are athletic, sure, but rather in a Bernardo Silva fashion where they can cover lots of ground and change directions quickly to hold up the pressure on the defense and minimize the ball recovery time.
What does this got to do with dribbling?

I will love it so much if he flops

He's simply too good not to be a success in the Premier League. The only issue with him is his injury record.

Expecting to see one of, if not the best player the league has ever seen for that money, let’s see what you’ve got Florian.

Yep, their most recent big money signing, Darwin, was a massive success.
He wasn't but he was a Klopp signing, Edwards + co have just returned.

Thank god there are one or two more reasonably thought our reactions .

For all it's a lot of money (i agree).. the likes of KDB and others cost a fortune at the times they were bought.

If BILD are correct, it's a heavily instalments based fee, thank god!

What's the upfront fee?

edit: just saw that the bild are saying the fee could reach 140m euros with upfront fee + realistic bonuses and with 10m seen as add ons for extraordinary achievements, I'm guessing balon d'or?

What was the general view of Kai Havertz when he first left Leverkusen for Chelsea? I do recall he came with a ton of hype as well.

I wanted Kai Havertz badly when he left Leverkusen. Thought he'd be a perfect creating striker to support Rashford and Greenwood. I was wrong about all three of them.

On that note I'm sure Wirtz will be a raging success for them.
