Yes, in fairness other BDL fans have been quite reasonable I feel with regards to Wirtz and his overall poor start to the season.Isn’t it more the usual two Leverkusen fans?

It is just so tough and unfair.

Wirtz was playing in the first Champions League Game against Bayern. He got injured in the game itself at a point when the tie was already decided. You were on course for a 90 points season when we beat you 3:0. Only after that, the infights started and the performances detoriated. Up until then, you were much better than the previous season. The season after, you were a motivated as hell after finishing a season titleless for the first time since probably 2012. It still took you four games to register the first win against us and that was the first one Wirtz was missing if I'm not mistaken.
I also don't get why Atalanta counts in your opinion but Leipzig and Stuttgart don't. We were a shadow of ourselves in that final collectively. They weren't better than Stuttgart that season.
And also from a logical perspective, Wirtz is a player for tight spaces, it doesn't make much sense that teams that press him should be his weakness?

You're not debating that Bayern plays with a different intensity in a knock out champions league tie vs an ordinary league game?
I'm suggesting that the intensity in the average premier league game is higher than in the average Bundesliga game, and that Wirtz has had difficulties with Leverkusen in high intensity games as well.Fair enough, the overall point still stands
No. Are you debating that those matches were no ordinary league games?![]()
Most likely former Liverpool player of the 1990sWho is this commentator Don Hutchinson? He is trying so hard to glaze over Wirtz even when he is not even having a good game.
“Another example of Florian Wirtz seeing the big picture..”

How can you question our lord and saviour Uli?Is that a real quote or a parody? Didn't Wirtz himself say he was not interested in the #10 at the time of his move?
Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we shake our heads and sometimes we are embarrassed.I seriously wish your club gagged this utter embarrassment that is Hoeness.

He's never going to get over that is he?
Oh just feck off at this point. This is worse than some of the political journalists.

How can an artiste be expected to express themselves surrounded by brutes who spend more time training headers and throw ins than they do caressing the ball with their boots? Savages who think studs are for shins rather than scorpion kicks. Like playing chess in a pig sty. Wirtz threads needles with his boot in a league where rondos mean kicking it long and seeing how long it can stay in the air from subsequent headers. Where he has that je-ne-sais-qouis I literally don't know what most premiership players are trying to do with the ball, except to say it's not something one can speak of in polite company.
Hopefully mr Wirtz can prove to be the civilising influence on this league that it is crying out for.
well done.Oh just feck off at this point. This is worse than some of the political journalists.

It's very clearly clickbait at this pointThem acting as if he was kidnapped and dragged to Liverpool.![]()

Jesus Christ, what a load of bollocks. Pires was 6'2 and could actually physically impose himself in the league, beyond obviously being a great technician. And other diminutive players like David Silva and Bernardo Silva have been great in the league, because their intelligence and technique have been at such a high level that their lack of standout physical traits was negated.
When will everyone accept that Wirtz simply is not very good at football? hehe
Stop it! Just, please, for the love of God! We are very much allowed, in a United forum, to talk badly about a slightly shorter, albeit not lanky streak of piss. Let's all rejoice in the failure of Liverpool's signings thus far, and long may it continue.I’m not sure if you’re being serious here? Pires never “physically imposed” anything on anyone. He was tall but a lanky streak of piss. Very good footballer, mind you.
As for Wirtz, having a bad debut season (and it’s not yet a bad half season) then going on to become a top PL player is hardly an outrageous scenario. It happens all the time.

This classical number 10 type of player seems to be prone to flopping at big clubs in general. James and Coutinho are others that come to my mind, who flopped after transfers to bigger clubs.I think people have said similar stuff about Joao Felix.
I wouldn’t consider James as a flop, he has class his debut season. This classical number 10 type of player seems to be prone to flopping at big clubs in general. James and Coutinho are others that
