Cant decide whom I want to win. Spain would be better for the Olympic Football, but Japan would be a great story.

Ridiculous that Jordi Alba is playing or Mata. Never mind Alba being all over the place.

Japan look dead on their feet. It was difficult to keep that pace for the entire 90 mins. Too bad they didn't take advantage of those great chances.

Spain equally tired, but understandable down to 10 men. Still looking dangerous, more so than japan.

They are doing everything in their power not to finish this game off.

This Spanish defending is dreadful. Not sure if we'll see worse defending in this tournament.

Hilarious to think that it could have ended up being 6-0.

Can't wait for the Uruguay game next. Ramirez, Suarez and Cavani will destroy UAE

BBC committed to blaming DDG's movement for the defence letting the Japanese player get to the ball before them, despite every replay showing none of the defenders looking in Dave's direction at any point during the corner.

Wow. Japan could have easily won 5-0. What great build up and comical finishing. Numbers 11 and 17 stood out for me. And the right back.

Spain looked dead on arrival. They were afraid and nervous. De Gea played beautifully.

Bring on GB!

Great performance from Japan, dont think Spain were expecting their front players to have a crazy workrate all game closing them down and pouncing on loose touches. Time and again this created good oppertunities for them but their finishing wasnt good and De Gea saved 2 or 3 decent/good efforts

Derby.
Inigo Martinez & Dominguez look glacially slow, definitely susceptible to a pacey forward.

Wales spent a decade before learning not to play in a 70,000 capacity stadium. Looks like the Olympic organisers have made the same mistake.
