"Chelski" is particularly dumb, given that "-ski" is Polish and not at all Russian.Yeah, most of those are pure cringetopia. Chelski, Shitty, Manure, Liverpuddle, Klanfield, Slur Alex, Fergiescum, Arsene Whinger, Crynaldo etc.
"No value in the market" Heard that since the Glazers took over. Why, so we can pretend we’re trying to buy players again?
I usually just say "big game player" (yes, aware that this phrase probably annoys people) or something along the lines that he always delivers when it matters the most (Ronaldo, Kante, Ramos). Don't feel comfortable using a term like "clutch" that people have only been introduced to by American sportsI’ve seen a lot of people deriding “clutch” in this thread, but it is quite a useful word that is applicable in all sports, unless you lot have another term for a player that more often than not will deliver in a high pressure situation?
I hear it in cricket quite a lot as well, so I’m fairly used to it.I usually just say "big game player" (yes, aware that this phrase probably annoys people) or something along the lines that he always delivers when it matters the most (Ronaldo, Kante, Ramos). Tell me then how they play? Possession football?Of course it can make sense. A club like Barcelona for example have a well known preference for how they want to play. Wouldn't a coach who wants and is good at implementing that be a good fit for them?
