Football & Sports Betting Thread 2023/2024

Skybet have absolutely had everyone’s pants down with that Asensio boost. 5/1 for a SOT in big letters, evens in the small print, then he doesn’t even start and cash out is suspended.

Came in.... but Sky definitely have inside info with these boosts.

I can assure you. They do not.

It was also a better price for 2+ SOT on every other operator, pretty much.

Will clearly be in their terms if they void or wait to see if he appears as sub.
Of course, still scummy though. If he’d have come on in injury time they’d have taken everyone’s money. Also I’m sure they’ve voided these before when the player hasn’t started, like literally last weekend. Haaland I think?

Got lucky. I generally try not to bet on SOTs as they’re subjective apparently and they just hide behind opta.

You work for Sky betting?

I wasn't really referring to Asensio so much either, more their 1SoT weekly boosts they used to do.... and them magically picking Salah or Kane the one weekend they start on the bench etc. Their odds are always hysterically bad, I'd not use them for much.

In the industry.

They lose money on the SOT boosts. They are loss leaders.

Skybet are shit BTW. Before I get accused of being on their payroll. Huge margins and basically a marketing firm not a bookie. Just some of the stuff spouted is tosh!

Obviously, but still, picking the most obvious players in the sole week they don't start is insanely fishy, and yes, given you don't work for them, I'll continue to believe they have inside knowledge..... and still pick them anyway.

Since I'm pretty certain even when Kane, Salah etc were the choices, they'd mostly always cash in from their cameos anyway

Had btts & Utd win today @11/1. Almost landed. Crazy to see us priced up like that at home.

Wonder what price we'd have been if we faced the scouse at home today? 14/1. 16/1?

Turned £8 into £2k tonight. Although really could have got the whole £12k from this bet, that Albacete game was a risk all night, when I saw the pressure Castellon were applying I had to check out and take the money.

I put a bet builder on players SOT + Ugarte to get booked. Assumed it didn't come in until I checked my account when I got home and saw that 'subs on, play on' means Mount's yellow earned me £130  bet365 are obviously shitbags but I'm loving this new rule of theirs.
