Two very talented 18 year olds, but who is better? And who has the higher ceiling?
Haha. A very well reasoned and thought out choiceMusiala rejected Chelsea, and then England, so feck that kid. Bellingham.
Smart kid. He’ll win a World Cup now.Musiala rejected Chelsea, and then England, so feck that kid. Bellingham.
I thought it was common knowledge? How many people know what a Verzuz is? Let's start there
Yeah it’s harder to break into the team at Bayern but once you’re there you have the benefit of playing with better players?Musiala. Just because he is doing it at Bayern.
Every team in the Bundesliga is producing talents left right and centre all the time but only a handful of them become real stars. There are so many bundesliga talents who failed to make the next step.
The last talents coming through for Bayern (and I mean really coming through, and not playing 10 games and then get loaned or transferred) were Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Müller, Alaba, Kroos and Badstuber (who was an undisputed member of the national team before his career got wrecked by injuries).
Doing it at Bayern is almost a guarantee to become one of the worlds best and he is doing it right now. At the moment he is „starter number 12“ for Bayern, meaning he is the first player to get subbed in or to start when someone is injured and I can‘t see a scenario in which he isn‘t an undisputed starter for Bayern and Germany as early as next season.
Yes and that proves my point. You have to be an extraordinary talent to make it in this squad.Yeah it’s harder to break into the team at Bayern but once you’re there you have the benefit of playing with better players?
Not the OP. If this was a true Verzuz it would be individual performance v performance and best out of 20.How many people know what a Verzuz is? Let's start there
How dare you…..Not the OP. If this was a true Verzuz it would be individual performance v performance and best out of 20.
But I'll go with spicy Musiala. He looks a bit like slenderman at the moment, but he's probably the best young dribbler in football at the moment; he glides on the pitch, and still also presses and defends like a maniac.
Bellingham is so seasoned for his age already but I get the vibes that whilst he'll go down an incredible player, he won't quite have a set role in midfield.
Sounds like a Spanish or Latin wonderkidHow many people know what a Verzuz is? Let's start there
Sounded more like a rare Turkish spice to me.Sounds like a Spanish or Latin wonderkid
Badstuber failed and Contento played plenty of gamesMusiala. Just because he is doing it at Bayern.

Gabriel Verzuz?Sounds like a Spanish or Latin wonderkid
Contento? You might as well name Ottl and LellBadstuber failed and Contento played plenty of games
sounds can be misleading i guessSounded more like a rare Turkish spice to me.
Verzuz NavasGabriel Verzuz?
Who, Bellingham? I know mate. It's coming home.Smart kid. He’ll win a World Cup now.
Agree with all of thisI’m a big fan of Jude but Musiala looks even more special perhaps. Both should make it big
not until Southgate is replaced.Who, Bellingham? I know mate. It's coming home.
Thanks for your constructive input. Seems that players have to be absolutely identical to be compared. I’ll inform the denizens in all the other comparison threadsthey are nothing alike. Pointless thread
you don’t think Southgate can get over the hump in 2022?not until Southgate is replaced.
they have to be at the very least performing the same roles. This is up there with comparing Neuer to MessiThanks for your constructive input. Seems that players have to be absolutely identical to be compared. I’ll inform the denizens in all the other comparison threads
It’s really not but go aheadthey have to be at the very least performing the same roles. This is up there with comparing Neuer to Messi
Fair points all. I remember all the Karamoko Dembele hype from a couple of years ago but he seems to have lost his way somewhat. The comparison is partially valid. Jude can and has played Musiala’s positions as a wide forward and 10 both at junior and senior level. Both Bellingham’s goal and assist last night came from the wide attacking areas. At least according to whoscored he was playing as the right wide forward for Dortmund last night (I didn’t see the game). Which brings you to the first argument as to why Bellingham is the bigger talent - he’s one of the most positionally versatile players about. Since he started playing senior football two seasons ago he’s played in every midfield position, every attacking midfield position and even a couple of games as a 9. I’ve seen him play at the base of midfield, as a box to box 8 and out wide for Dortmund. The second argument would be Jude’s mentality. He’s a born leader and is a personality and character in the dressing room at just 18. Musiala is known as a more introverted and shy character, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but Jude looks nailed on to be a future captain for club and country.
The other interesting aspect of the comparison is they came through the England ranks together and are close friends. They were part of a very talented group for England with Harvey Elliot, Karamoko Dembele and Liam Delap, among others. Elliot was actually the player promoted beyond his age group first from those players and Dembele got all the early hype.
Of course you can never predict these thing with absolute confidence and they’ve generally both been regarded as elite level talents since being young kids but I‘ll go with Jude for the reasons outlined above.
Probably not, no. He’s way too defensive & doesn’t play to the teams strengths. I actually think England made the final in spite of him, rather than due to him.you don’t think Southgate can get over the hump in 2022?
He’s struggled to break through for Celtic. There were reports that he was looking to leave. Then there were rumblings that he was going to play a lot more this season but he picked up a fairly bad injury in pre-season. Still plenty of time for him though.Fair points all. I remember all the Karamoko Dembele hype from a couple of years ago but he seems to have lost his way somewhat.
I don't know how to tell you, but even though Memphis portraits himself like a teenager in those videos, he's actually much older.I've never heard either of them sing, so I'll have to go with Memphis Depay.
He's still young though. At least, he is to me, and I'm not that old..I don't know how to tell you, but even though Memphis portraits himself like a teenager in those videos, he's actually much older.
